Personally, I loathe 'showmanship', especially in classical players. Who really wants to see them swaying about etc?

Expression and body movement? These aren't pop stars. Classical instrumentalists are supposed to put technique first, not showmanship.

Although this was a stunning recording, the clarinetists had NO expression or body movement what so ever. It's almost robotic. Also, I thought the orchestra was pretty scrappy, but that may be because this is a garbage camcorder recording. I did envy the great tone and great sound.

Good times! I remember playing in this concert, but I never realized that we actually sounded this great.
