IIRC, Immediately after you get the hole-in-the-wall you can go to the Castle of the Crown and see a scene of servant girls being ushered in. If you go to the side of the castle and use the hole-in-the-wall on that wall you can see what happens to them.

As Alexander, I would have reached for that torch.

I have never played this game so I know not the events to come - but having fire as your ally seems to be a logical move to me.

He could reach for it - so unless it is welded to the wall, it is to his advantage to have it near him.

Not to mention the ceiling/walling/flooring are all made of stone - which would minimize proximal conflagration.

The torch would such serve as both lighting and weaponry toward this Minotaur.

I just noticed an analogy. In KQ4, Rosella goes to Lolotte's property only to be caught by the goons and taken for a ride to the castle. In KQ6, Alexander goes to the sacred mountain only to get a ride from the winged creatures to their castle. Only differece, Lolotte's a mean bitch and evil whereas the winged creatures are nice but are guarding each other...if that makes sense.

Also funny is that I remember the picture of the box carrying this game and well the minotaur looked bigger than how he is in the game. That minotaur in the game isn't 50 ft. tall at all. ^_^;;; LMFAO! Just pointing out something that's all. ^_~

It's funny too because well, last time, I've finally found out that this bull hating red is just a myth. I saw it on "Mythbusters". The truth is, no bull EVER crushes down a store full of bath china at all!!! No, the bull is actually color blind and they sense movement just like the T-Rex! It's true! They use real live bulls and guess what? They just go around the shelves of bath chinas perfectly because the shelves doesn't move! ^_^

So Alexander holds the red cloth like a matador's cape because of the minotaur's resemblance to a bull. Man, I'll bet the minotaur gets that kind of crap all the time. That wasn't very mythologically-sensitive of Alexander. I'll bet the only reason the minotaur charged the way he did was because he finally snapped after being stereotyped all the time.

I remember in the dark room, if you don't light the torch in time, the Minotaur comes in a strangles Alexander's eyes out of his head. I laughed after I was done being freaked out.

Also, if you don't have the hole in the wall when you get to that one room, you die pretty bad, too. Of course, if you don't have everything you need to beat the dungeon before you talk to Azure, he gives you a chance to "prepare for battle."
