  • Sérgio Knust??

  • Greg, you oughta keep an Esquire onstage at all times.

It's You Man I'm tellin' Ya.

You know I listen to a lotta Your reviews.

    -stan

  • In Mexico We make good Guitar :D

  • Very Cool ;)

  • just to straighten things out, the first position has the tone completely rolled off and it is bassy, in the middle position you can change the tone with the tone knob, and the last is the tone completely on. I believe this is correct. sorry if i am wrong ! :-)

  • that fuckin rocked

  • HOW CAN YOU BE SO GOOD !!!!*******************

  • very nice intro i like this VDO

i want to buy some telecaster i think

    i will buy MIM Esquire

  • rip it

  • Great tone, is that the stock pick up?

  • where's the mic holding teddy bear?? :)

im stuck on your channel for hours man

  • black magic woman beat?

  • how do you like the MEsa Boogie amps in general for the styles of music you play?

  • the most vangard sound of all times i love this instrument

  • What is the difference between a tele and an esquire?

  • @ToothyGus Esquires came first, and have only one pickup (a hot Broadcaster type) and a different tone circuit.

  • How is the neck on these? Are they fat like the originals were? fatter than a typical Tele?

  • @detoth67 yeah...they are a bit chunky...i have one myself and i find that it is a really comfortable profile

  • this man can make the blues interesting...awesome guitar player

  • Yeah....."the real blues goes on again".....EXCELLENT playing...great sound...well done...

/I have a Fender Esquire too...sounds absolutely great...

  • Man I used to be completely anti-Mexican Fenders - but this guitar really seems to sparkle - that's impressive! I'm buying a Maverick 2x12 tomorrow. I'm pretty pumped.

  • can you get a warm clean sound with this guitar?

    thx

  • Does this amp stay clean at higher volumes on the clean channel or get super saturated like an ac-30?

  • Superb job. Sounds like Bill Frisell but hotter. Is that a Fralin in there?

  • Comment removed

  • I have a mesa maverick 2-12 combo for sale they do sound amazing dont they...

  • so why'd you sell it?

  • how much price of this guitar mexican model?

  • i see no teddy bear in this video...

  • To answer all you guys question about the pick up selector. The bridge position lets you be able to use the pickup with the tone knob and gives you the lovely twang. the middle position is a more bluesier bb king style sound with the tone selector cut off. and the neck position is almost like a very bassy sound with the tone also cut off. Back in the 50s when electric guitars came out. They hadnt made electric basses yet so bassist used this guitar with the selector on the neck position.

  • these are great, i bought one one day, but ended up taking it back due to prominent bad fretout problems that no one could seem to fix on 17, 18, 19. drove me nuts, so back it went. but i will be looking for another one you can count on it. the sound is awesome. very versatile, and relatively no excess noise of the pup.

  • Fantastic tone.

  • HEY...I have one of those guitars exactly like it....will never get rid of it.

  • I like this dude! He can play smooth and he's got a good tone too!

  • how about the quality on this MIM esquire?

  • great

  • @GregsGuitars Sweet!! real Cherry Guitar..Sounds great!

  • @GregsGuitars its so Sharp sounding

  • godly tone!

  • The ting that always catches me with them is that they sound just great with only one pickup.

  • so, does the PU-selecter just changes the colour of your tone?

  • I'm sorry, I made this video in 1 position and never checked it... guitar has been sold

  • @GregsGuitars

I am impressed with the bite and sound of this guitar. I have been to the factory in Ensenda Baja Ca and the workers take a lot of pride in their work. Nice playing. . and tone. . . Thanks. . .

  • @fruhotchiliman PMFJI - On Esquires I've played the selector runs through a capacitor or something and dulls down the tone - a "mock" neck PU. One setting bypasses the tone knob altogether but I can't remember if it's forward or back.

  • @fruhotchiliman putooooooooooooooo

  • @atizapunk182

    sry but what is putooo....?

  • @fruhotchiliman "puto" in mexico means "retarded" but most like a bad word :)

  • what can you do with the Toggle switch on this guitar?? (it has just one PU so what do you do with it?)

  • this question is answered in a previous comment here

  • @fruhotchiliman the rear position is the pickup bypassing the tone...middle position activates the tone pot...and the neck position has a capacitor simulating the tone being off

  • @gibsonguitardude12

what happensa if you turn the tone pot in the neck position? does it also by pass it?

  • @fruhotchiliman yes it does...the sound is like having the tone all the way off ...but you cant adjust the tone in that positon...but you can in the middle position...so you can have 3 different amounts of brightness in the tone w/ out having to turn the tone knob...pretty cool i think :D

  • Great, great taste with your phrasing! This is about the 30th video I have watched of yours and they have all been very entertaining. I am soaking it up man ... thanks for taking the effort to share all this. For the creative quality you are averaging, the amount of videos you have up is pretty prolific. I am using them as a tone library now. Thanks!

  • In my opinion, the best blues guitar of all time besides P-90 loaded Les Pauls...

  • 5*** man. Nice Tele

  • great tone ;) i love the mesa!!

  • Tasty licks Dood! Nice volume swells. I gotta get me one.

  • is this a re issue or an old one?

  • reissue, mexican

  • thanks, so its one of the ones you can buy today?, if so is it better than a strat?

  • yes... If you like a tele, it's maybe better, but this is only a matter of taste

  • ok thanks

  • the amp rock!

  • Hi, I have a Mexican re-issued Esquire that has a great deal of 'hum' just plugging it in & it is very thin even in the neck position. I'd like to change the stock pickup for something noise-free & with more depth, any suggestions?

Is the pickup in the above clip stock?

  • they him a lot - also, you sure its an esquire? the esquire has no neck pup. If you mean a tele (same thing but with the neck pup) then use the bridge pup or check out Bareknuckle Pickups singlecoils

  • It is an Esquire, only one pup - 'Esquire' on the headstock & the receipt.

  • ...hot volume swell tone @ 40-46...beautiful post....thanks man...

  • Sounds so sweet man! I can't wait form my telecaster to arive...

  • Greg, what settings are you using on the lead channel? Sounds great.

  • sorry, I don't know anymore

  • nice cd collection, shame about the self indulgent guitar work !

  • would like to see this guitar played fingerstyle. i don't like the tone that picks produce.

  • ohhh ... that's retarded

  • Nice tone man! awesome. What year is that esquire from?

  • I'm sorry, I have not checked that, but it is from the 2000's

  • Nice, i don't hear the typical mud that some Boogie like the Calibers and Rectos deliver.

  • does that have the stock pickup in it ??

  • yes stock pickup

  • Sweet. I like the backing track, where did you get it?

  • do you have other videos with boogie??

  • no, but I have some nice free jazz videos....

  • remember j.scofield , very good

  • i'm gettin one of thease beasts in black and i'm gonna hit with a bigsby and a P-90 neck pup

  • Do you use 9's?

    Sounded great.

  • 0.11--49 but on this guitar are still the 0.10ths from the previous owner

  • Best Esquire/Telecaster sound ever!

  • How much for that hook amp in the back? I'm in love with it.

  • this esquire suonds amazingly with this amp!!!mexican fenders are greate!

  • I just can't get enough of your playing! Such amazing inflection and tone, and more importantly, it looks like your having a blast. Thanks for sharing!!

  • Meine Gitarre sieht dieser sehr ähnlich =D (is aber ne samick mit 2 pickups)

    Klingt super wie immer!

  • I think that might be one of your best yet. The bends on voicing on the high frets was sick.

  • This might sound like a stupid question but if there is only one pickup what is the switch selector for?

    Can't see the teddy either!

  • Don't quote me but I believe that the first position modifies the tone so it is very bassy, the middle position is standard, and the last bypasses the tone altogether to give it a bit more punch and bite for a hot lead tone.

  • correct!
