  • That guitar is beast!

Your videos rock, by the way! :D

  • please stop.

  • Thank you my good friend, for your help to understand certain parts of the song, it helped me a lot. I am guitarist here in Brazil and had doubts as to play the fingerstyle. Again thank you. God bless you.

    Peace, Light and Sound

    P. S. Your guitar is really cool

  • Any chance of getting an explanation of the more advanced finger style pattern? I'd love to learn it. :)

  • You are my hero! :o I searched the internet a whole night for the chords for this song and thought, maybe there is a smart guitarplayer who knows the chords and got em in a lesson. And I found YOU! :) (Y) Many Thanks!

  • u got your name wrong..it shouldn't be gold hat..it should be GOLD HEART!

    i love you :)

  • That is an awesome guitar!

  • Great job Mark... I can't fingerpick, but you have given me something to work with. and seriously, I can't fingerpick! tried for years.... Thanks again, you play wonderfully

  • Download the audio from this video at speedyconversion doht cohm.

  • I decided to learn this song today but after seeing your version I give up. I will never be able to play it as good as you,

  • your videos are awesome!

during the chorus it sounds more like (G)home where my (F)thoughts (C)es(F)cap(C)ping to me, which is along the line of the intro (paul simon plays something almost the same as the intro for the chorus i think)

in my opinion playing the Am and Em softens it down a bit too much

  • Thanks. I love your style. Nice sound, nice voice. You spell it out, then show it, but it's not too long and drawn out. You get down to it!

  • Mark, you've been a great inspiration to me. You seem to have so much fun with playing. You're one of the guys that got me playing again. Thanks...

  • how do you do the F#/D at 6:28 ?

  • i really like your wall paper :-)

  • you give good lessons. thanx for the fine generosity. ive been playing about 40 yrs and had to learn the hard way. if i'd a had your lessons back then i'd have soared

  • a poet and a one man band....thanks kind sir.

  • that is the greatest guitar i've ever seen!

  • Mark- you did a beautiful job on this great song. I have to come back to polish it every now and then. thank you again.

  • your playing sounds better than the original... great job!!!

  • thanks a million

i learn so much from u

  • Your the man! I thank you so much! 10**********S

  • Ooops. As I think about it, it isn't a regular D chord but on played in C position at the third fret. here is the fingering. 6th string un-played, 5th string 5th fret, 4th string 4th fret, 3rd string open, 2nd string 3rd fret, 1st string open.

    I hope that helps. :)

  • Just a suggestion. On the part of the verse that goes, for a poet and a one man band. On the word poet there is a D chord. I am pretty sure Paul plays it there and at that same spot in the other verses. Try it and see if it works for you. Other than that this is another great tutorial!!!!

  • Favorite!!
