  • Did you guys stay in Togakushi?

There wasn't nothing but Soba noodle restaurants, was there?

Though I saw 1 pizza restaurant.

The Togakushi moutain is very steep.

The peak is like a blade.

I think someone fell off from the peak last year.

  • @BuffonMusa yes, we stay at a hotel there.

we ate at the restaurant that made a lot of stuff out of soba (even soba sake)

i didn't see the pizza shop, i must have missed it

i agree, the moutain is very steep and high. i think i heard something about someone falling off like you say.

  • @BuffonMusa

  • Sky san,

Because my post was spamed in Dean's vid, I copy here.

I want to inform you of a situation being complicatedness about Togakure-ryu.

I have doubt about Mr. Takamatsu is a successor of Togakure-ryu.

    However,

I can't deny the possibility that Togakure-ryu existed separately from the Takamatsu problem.

I traveled in Togakushi the other day with Sky san.

Possibility producing the special tactics that Togakushi local geographical features and mountain worship are exists.

    cont.

In addition, that place was an around of a position of Y.Sanada in Sengoku age.

Only one old temple exists in that village.

The next time I intends to collect data on the temple.

    Documentation may be left there.

In other words togakure-ryu may have existed whether Takamatsu was successor of togakure- ryu or not.

This point is different at all from a Lie of greg.

He claims from non-entity from the first.

    However,

we talk the stuff which existed as "basis" in Japan.

But a falsehood exists in only "ownership of the skill"

But martial arts and strategy coexist in war of those days in Togakushi.

It is difficult to extract the factor which seems to be so called Ninjutsu from the inside.

Let's have a trip with me again sometime, as a trip of a holy ground of mountaineering asceticism Research.

The general Japanese who doesn't have special admiration in Ninjutsu such as us/me is always watching by the eye which cooled down.

Therefore we aren't seeking for unnecessary fantasy of Ninjutsu.

On the other hand, a lot of Westerners are having too much surplus expectation and dream for Ninjutsu.

On the other hand, I am interesting to watch a old Japanese historical fact.

The historical fact that I pay attention to is religion tradition and record of war in a locality in Japan=the Japanese polytheism that various Japanese military commanders(Shogun) believed.

I can find description with possibility mistaken for Ninjutsu in that

However, the most aren't martial arts.

Incidentally, a true anecdote of martial arts is written as history of martial arts or record of war instead of book of Ninjutsu.

For example, Japanese kenjutsu left a lot of historical facts.

  • Nice countrysides, Nice music.

  • Sky san,

It was good luck unexpectedly that we could watch a start of colored leaves.

It is turned red by more late time usually .

Perhaps weather would change by heavy rainfall just before that days 9,oct.

  • @HouzanSuzuki HouzanSuzuki san,

i agree, great timing on our part (^___^)

  • The countryside in that area looks so tranquil. And you got to see some fall color. I'd like to visit this area and spend some time with Suzuki-sensei, too.

  • @erniesbudolab going to Togakushi and drinking soba sake with HouzanSuzaki is like one of the most epic things i ever done in my life.

  • Lol, follow Houzan or become lost! xD

I really hope you enjoyed your time!

  • @TeHGoodReverend it was pretty easy to move around, and it was hard for me to get lost (^__^). i had a great time (^_____^)

  • @skymilesdc5 I can tell based on your comments you are in a state of bliss :D. Also I have horrible sense of direction in new places(then again who doesn't?), getting lost is a huge fear of mine >.<.
