But, from what I understood from the description, this seemed like it had potential for a freaking amazing series. If you like this show, you should check out the movie 'Testament'. It was made in 1983 and follows the same storyline but features a more closely knit family and their friends and neighbors. Its a touch more dramatic and chilling than this show.

It was cancelled at the end of season 1 and after protests from fans (including sending 50,000 lbs of peanuts to CBS) they brought it back for a second season. Only problem was they then waited six months to air the second season and then they only aired a shortened series of episodes in a worse time-slot than when it was on the first year. I personally thought the end of the second season was great. But the point is that CBS never cared about this show and they should have.

yeah, the 2nd season really showed a bare bones budget & they really had a lot of gaffs, like the whole cold weather thing. The scenes are really fake - they are NOT in cold weather!

Another thing that bugs me - throughout the series, no one ever goes fishing to get food! There is a lake right by town and this river that they worry about being cut off if they loose the "Tacoma" bridge, but no one goes fishing!

I wish the series had continued with a decent budget. A movie version is planned

My guess is that you are not from a small town. People DO know how to hunt & fish.

Looks like Hulu is just as bad as YouTube with the choppyness and stopping and starting. Just watch it at CBS's website. Although the picture quality doesn't seem as good, at least it doesn't seem to be as choppy and loads better. Forget YouTube and Hulu, if they can't get their issues fixed and, expects that everyone has 20MB high-speed connections.
