apparently you havent seen him actually perform it. this is just showing it slowly for learning.
search for shi deyang and dahongquan. its on youtube from an old documentary.
Is that the documentary where he performs it in the closing credits?

I have learned this form. And this is the best performance of Dahongquan I have ever seen.
