The considerations of the Geneva Convention only apply to enemy combatants caught in uniform who follow the rules of war (not targeting civilians, etc). America would be entirely within its rights to summararily execute terrorist scum.
It wasn't because they had weapons of mass destruction or had something to do with 9/11!!!
They are just defending what's theirs as you would if some other country invaded yours!
And talking about following the rules.
Kidnapping, torture, rape, killing of civilians, using illegal weapons (depleted uranium) looks to you like following the rules? What about "drop weapons" - another bent rule?
Congress needs to regain the power to ask questions about classified data. Respect of the law should not entail the executive withholding info from legislative branch of government.
Waterboarding is wrong... plain and simple, and it's in violation of Geneva conventions. Interesting that he "isn't authorized" to answer so many questions. In a regular court, they call it taking the 5th... but he's not doing that.
