I have many memories of 3 Rivers Stadium. But the most rememberable is that it was imploded on my birthday.

i've been inside three rivers before. i went to a pirates game and sat in peanut heaven. i was on the field for something dealing with the steelers. i'm 17 now so that was when it began falling apart. heinz field and pnc par are MAJOR upgrades. both stadiums have great views no matter where you sit

@matt17389 it wasnt a good place to watch baseball the seats even near field level were too far from the field..too big.it was really designed for football.it began crumbling.remember watching a steeler football game the wall above the baseball outfield fence collapsed.the artificial turf was awful.the new baseball and football parks are alot better

@matt17389 It's sad because most people who are old enough, have a lot of memories from that stadium, world series games, nfl playoff games, and a number of superbowl teams battled it out on that shitty turf. I personally saw my first steeler and pirates game in that stadium, and will miss it. But we have two new stadiums now to build new memories in. But if the wall could talk at the old three rivers, it would be a very interesting story.
