Continued.... The play was first performed on 27th December 1904, and has remained a Christmas institution in England since. The proceeds both then and now, by a special act of parliament , benefit Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children in London. This includes all royalties from the play or the book. The book was first published in 1911 and was titled "Peter and Wendy". James Barrie died in 1937.
Peter Pan was created in the mind of the author Sir James Matthew Barrie. The inspiration for Peter Pan came from his two wards, the Llewelyn Davies boys, Peter and Michael. Barrie was appointed guardian to these boys when both their parents died young, but their connection to the play , that Terrible Masterpiece as Peter Davies called it, became an intolerable burden to the two boys, and his friendship with the Llewelyn Davies boys, ended in deep sadness.
he is not an elf or something like that, he's a "normal" child which fold out of a buggy...he learnd to fly from the fairys...the ears aren't that important...the moviemakers found it better to give him the ears from an elf :P
(Insert Michel Jackson joke here) lol. Good video, but one question. Considering Peter Pan has pointed ears is he an elf or does he have some non-human ancestry? The writers of the movie didn't fill us in on this.
Peter Pan definitely has to be one of my favorite Disney movies. <3
Makes me feel so nostalgic. :')
