@rowedsc any gun's accuracy is all based on the shooter, i hav an ak and i've shot basic iron sights and i have got pretty good grouping with it, a good trained soldier (spetsnaz for example) can make any gun accurate just takes practice

There's been some small arms fire inside the wire recently too, although not sure on what all happend with that.

@subscriber44 Trust me most troops would keep the M-4 or go more modern rather than pick up the AK. They are reliable as hell but accuracy is shit, and if you keep your M-4 even modestly clean, which you can in the field and between firefights, it will perform every time.

and I have a Century Arms Centurion 39 which is 100 percent American made. Mine has the reliability of the others but it is much more accurate. Most of the AKs out there are reliable but past that I dont have much use for them.

What i mean is I think finnish sako/valmet rifles and the galils (based on valmet rk62) are the top of the line "ak's". At least I got a good score when I fired my SAKO Rk95Tp from 300meters and i didn't miss a shot, a great grouping. Just a little off center due front post zero 100m.

Romania was poor but so were most other countries that turned out AKs in that era. There are many AK variants out there that are decently accurate weapon systems, but I will always stick to my M-16 family of firearms until they come out with something else that just blows my mind. The M-16 is versatile and I like that.

I had to fire AKs in the Army. I always tried to be at end of the line but once I was right in the middle. After just a few rounds I felt like I had been beaten with a sledgehammer on the head. AKs are fucking noisy.

@nikonxxx No saddly, when the gunevia convention made it murder to kill someone in war with your own weapon, it became impracticle to let people bring any guns back at all. Also, in order to own a fully automatic firearm legally in the united states one must have a class 2 FFL liscence, which is many thousand dollars a year.

#2 the AK-107 and the AK-74 both shoot the 5.45X39mm 7N6 round
and the direct inpeidment gas system, of the AR-15/m16 (which are the exact same firearm, sans the selective fire capabilities of the M16 (semi/burst)) is flawed compared to that of the piston driven system of the AK, HK, FAL, etc while the chrome lining of the chamber does help reliablility it is still a flawed weapon system, heck i've seen a few AR-15s jame because of a spec of dirt on ..

@johnisdown i play mw 2 but i also know alot about guns too. to be honest. they are both good. its just the m16 is better at accuracy and range but doesnt give good damage power. the ak47 *my favorite* gives significant amount of damage and can penetrate through brick walls but does not have good accuracy and range.

@Heyes00 the 7.62 does have excellent accuracy at great ranges with the proper weapon. the ak-47 cannot give it that level of accuracy. i am not sure about how much further the ak-47 round can travel, but its effective range is significantly lower than the m16.

@Heyes00 The 7.62x39mm round will not travel nearly as far as the 5.56x45mm round due to it being much, much heavier and traveling at significantly lower speed. Perhaps you should learn a little something about the subject that you are so adamantly discussing so that I do not have to further embarrass you in the future.
