Jerry was an amazing singer. I'm tired of this tune, but this performance is electrifying. Maybe he was too wild for mass acceptance, but he did okay in a tough business. He once called the record store where I work. I sold him Jimmy Reed CD's to replace some he had given away. I wish I had seen him perform.
I played bass with Jerry Lynn from 1970 till around 1979.I'm Charlie Stephens.I got to play with Jerry at the Whiskey A-Go-Go.Then back in Ft. Worth,Tx. at Daddio's and a few gigs in Dallas. He was a GREAT friend and NO ONE will ever replace him.You can find alot of his LPs on E-Bay.I know Peacemaker was on there.Worth the price.
I have the "song for my father" record album...autographed to my wife and I ...with some original doodle art that matches the album cover. I will try to get it on my channel...thanks for sharing this recording of Jerry

i remember coming out of the service elevator from the texas hotel loading out after a gig. when the door opened all we could hear was this voice reverberating down the street. daddio's was down the street on commerce so, we went in and it was jerry singing stevie wonder. what a voice. was a fan from then on. tried to catch him every time i could around town. great memories.
first time i met him i was walkin downtown in fort worth & went into daddio's for lunch. jerry was there wailin on a hammond b3 by himself & shakin the walls. stephen bruton was with me & it was my second day in town, movin back to texas from NM!!! sail on brother.
Please post the songs that Nils Lofgren played on from this LP. Thanks.
