i say budokai tenkacihi 2 is better because of the storyline,graphics,sound,effects,gameplay and content,so the only thing is missing is the rest of dragon ball characters,then dragon ball z like nail,dr.wheelo.king cold,king vegeta,few namkeian warriors,few frieza soldiers besides frieza soldier,appule and for gt characters like kid goku gt,future gohen,future gotenks,future trunks,nova shenron and genral rildo and so those are the only things missing other than that i am planning on getting it
I don't think I have ever enjoyed a fighting game or any game as much as this. This game was my childhood shame I sold my PS2 along with all my DBZ games. Sometimes I feel like buying a PS2 and buying all these games just to play them all over again. I have never played a game and had so much fun at the same time. I wish they brought these out on the PS3 and relived the original tenkaichi series just with updated graphics not the shitty raging blast series or the ultimate tenkaichi game.

But the controls are similar, unless your playing it with the Wiimote and Nunchuck. Those controls have gotten a huge upgrade and feel much more fluent and easy to use-I use the Wiimote so I would know. The gameplay is similar, but one of the pros at both BT2 and BT3 had said they're entirely different and you have to re-adjust when switching between them. Looking back, they are quite different.
BT3 is the best one imo. It has way more characters, more options and better a better fighting system. BT2 has a longer story and more fights, music is better, as it is in BT1, though overall BT3 wins it for me

I re-played BT1 thinking "it couldn't be that bad, I'd've remembered if it were that bad!" Of course, I hadn't realized I didn't remember ANYTHING about BT1... Because even though I didn't know consciously how bad it sucked, a big part of me knew and I barely played it. But the thing I noticed playing it again was you can spam "Finnish Moves" (Later Blast 2s) so easily! Isn't the point of attacks like Kamehameha to finish off your opponent? Not to use them like a punch??
bt1 had some cool story line telling when it came to what if saga's but fighting,movesets,and characters were not good
bt2 improved so much had a good storyline letting you go and fly around again like in b3 fighting improved graphics did and so did the storyline and gave us more characters
bt3 did the best on characters fighting and graphics but didn't tell the story as good as bt1 and 2 it did good but not as good
The only two things I hated about Tenkaichi 1 was that you couldn't transform on your own, you had to choose it, that is unless I am wrong, the other thing was, is the fact that you had to do exactly what they did in the show, like Goku having to use the spirit bomb to take Frieza out before Goku became a Super Sayian, and same thing with Kid Buu, the first one was a mess, but the second and third are much better in my opinon

Well, in my opinion Tenkaichi 1 had better graphic for the moves, because Tenkaichi 2... well, as so many bolts, and there wasn't that cool "nuclear blast" when you used the ultimate. Tenkaichi 3, on the other hand, had the best moveset ever, too bad for the short storymode.

okey, first, i´m not from united stades, i´m from argentina and i don´t speak very weel the english, second, i want to say one thing of dbz bt3, it is very easy, you can protect of the atacks like meteor atack. but in bt2 too but is more difucult to do that defense, another thing easy of the game are the red potaras, they are easy to get and you can win to everybody. one thing i realy hate of bt3 is the short history mode, in bt2 is realy long. well, that is my opinion, good bye from argentina..
I haven't played the raging blast games yet, but is there a DBZ game that combines the strengths of BT2 & BT3? A great story mode and great fighting mechanics? If BT3 had a better story mode, I would say its perfect, yeah the story is told better but there is no depth to it like BT2 (no item combinations or decent "what if modes" in BT3 story mode).

Well, in my opinion Tenkaichi 1 had better graphic for the moves, because Tenkaichi 2... well, as so many bolts, and there wasn't that cool "nuclear blast" when you used the ultimate. Tenkaichi 3, on the other hand, had the best moveset ever, too bad for the short storymode.

@Wilybat I'm not sure I remember but I think that when yu were in battles (story mode battles) you had to break a ton of builidngs or whatever the landscape is, and when you broke buildings, in one of those there would be a dragonball. EASIER EXPLANATION: Break buildings=Dragon balls

okey, first, i´m not from united stades, i´m from argentina and i don´t speak very weel the english, second, i want to say one thing of dbz bt3, it is very easy, you can protect of the atacks like meteor atack. but in bt2 too but is more difucult to do that defense, another thing easy of the game are the red potaras, they are easy to get and you can win to everybody. one thing i realy hate of bt3 is the short history mode, in bt2 is realy long. well, that is my opinion, good bye from argentina..

I haven't played the raging blast games yet, but is there a DBZ game that combines the strengths of BT2 & BT3? A great story mode and great fighting mechanics? If BT3 had a better story mode, I would say its perfect, yeah the story is told better but there is no depth to it like BT2 (no item combinations or decent "what if modes" in BT3 story mode).

How can you really care about something that means absoutely jack shit like the menus, the character selection screen and the practice mode? Really... really?! BT1 doesn't have four characters on the main menu... it just has to be a horrible game!
I think it's absolutely HILARIOUS how you bash BT1 when it was the game that has started it all. It's a faily decent game.
If it wasn't for BT1, there would be no BT2 or BT3.
