If you use a Ziploc or other brand freezer bag inside that outer cover container, for add-hot-water meals, you can slide the food up higher to reach your spork/spoon as you eat by pulling the bag up and over the edge.

Hey Anthony...would you use this kit as part of your BOB...or more for a Get Home Kit? If I'm bugging out, I like to think I have something more durable than a aluminum beer can. Your thoughts?
@rlmarin1968 I agree with you. In a bug out situation I would want something more reliable and faster. For lightweight backpacking or as a backup I like this type of kit. Thanks for watching.
"Soda Can" stoves are great, my kids and I have carried them as our primary cook stoves for overnight and weekend backpacking trips for years. If you accidentally dry boil the beer can pot it will cause the plastic lining in the can to start coming off. Not a big problem but kind of a hassel to peel the rest out if you are on the trail when it happens...... not that I would know from experiance....... hahaha Have a good one brother.
@MBlackford100 Thanks for your comments. These are all new to me so I appreciate all the information and advice. Is the plastic lining on the outside?
@biblesnbarbells On the inside. Also, be careful if you decide to pick the pot up with a bandana, etc. as the sides of the can will crush easy. Check out the Fosters can pot from "Zelph Stoves" for a creative fix to that problem. Good Luck and have fun with it.
@biblesnbarbells Made the stove, made the mistake of buying red heet instead of yellow... now I know. I will be putting up a video response so you can see how mine turned out. Thanks again for the video reviews.

Great review thank you.
All cook kits now come with a windscreen.
Everyone that had purchased a kit that did not have a windscreen will be getting one in the mail at no charge.
