Lemaitre is the best! He is so talented and works so hard so that he can run so fast and more, he is so handsome. SO happy to see that European countries are getting better and better for 100, 200m and 400 m races.
I just love the sportsmanship between these athletes. Throughout the championships there have been so many instances where competitors joked around, congratulated each other without anything of it being staged and the high fives after each run... That's just awesome. Great role models.

It's good to see a white guy competing and doing so well at the highest level in this athletic discipline.
I say this because nobody should feel they can't do or achieve something because of the colour of their skin. And this is another example of not letting racist falsities hinder or stop you from fulfilling potential and dreams.
It's the same as when they tried to make black people believe they could never reach the highest levels of academic excellence and/or become world leaders.

And his best time for 200m was 19.91 before Beijing. How could he suddenly improve so much during a short time!!!! It is not about race, only fact. Gay has improved himself little by little, so he deserves more if not because of Bolt.

@paulflying Well, you're right about not bringing race into the discussion. Track & Field fans enjoy the exploits of Usain Bolt and Lemaitre, of Fabiana Murer and Allyson Felix, etc.
But what you're not confronting is the fact that Bolt has, since his early teenage years, been an anomaly who has had several huge jumps in performance. (For example, between 16-17 years old, his 200 time dropped by half a second). The only irregularity was his lack of achievement from 2005-2007

@paulflying I don't know if Bolt (or Lemaitre, or Powell, or Dix, or Gay, or Charundy Martin) is juicing and neither do you. Based on my decades of experience running at a high level and now following the sport in America and internationally at the junior, collegiate and pro levels, I think Bolt is more likely clean than most athletes. His progress is rather predictable, & nothing like the out-of-nowhere mid-to-late 20s improvements of Tim Montgomery, Ben Johnson, and other noted juicers.

@paulflying see that's where ur wrong, Bolt's been a world class sprinter since a teen. He won world juniors at 15 with 20.58, he still holds the world youth and junior records with 20.13 at 16 and 19.93 at 17. Bolt didn't start training seriously till 08, and on top of that, that explains his massive improvements. It's probably a good idea to make sure you know what ur talking about before you start talking shit..

@clickJamaicadotcom He doesn't look like he's on steroids, nor does he run like it, nor does he exhibit the lack of fatigue dopers do...I'm almost certain he is natural...but he should consider doping like many of his competitors, that will take him to the next level. That or he just needs to work with better coaches, i personally think he should work with the great Michael Johnson. He has the raw speed and the stride, his races just need to be put toegether more consistently. We shall see.

@M4r7481 That would be something to watch. I think Bolt knows this. I don't see him running too many more short sprints after the olympics. It would be unprecedented for a man to potentially hold world records at 100/200/400/Long Jump, which I think and other record holders think. Mike powell has stated Bolt has the tools to jump 9m! That would truly be an unmatchable athletics career given all the specialization that exists. The modern day jesse owens.
