Looks a really nice car! I own a white 63' 4dr sedan (6 window) myself originally comes from Alabama and I really loves these cars! I also have a 66' Eldorado byt I like the 63' year models best.
This is a nice example of a 6 window. The 6 window sedan (they were all hardtops) is about an inch to an inch and1/2 taller than the 4 window for a more formal roof line. The 60 Special (Fleetwood Brougham) had an even taller and more formal roofline yet. If you wanted to wear a hat while driving you needed to get the 6 window.
The de Ville line was not the lowest line of Cadillacs in '63. There was the "plain Jane" line which did not have any exterior model indication. Coupe or Sedan (4 or 6 window) or Convertible if it was the de Ville line it was the same level. Eldorados, 60 Specials, & Series 75s were all of the Fleetwood line, Cadillac's top of the Marque.
I own a 1959 Srs. 62 sedan. I personally prefer the bolder styling cues to the refined, almost...... streamlined??? look of the 63, but they are both beautiful vehicles. Cadillac forever.
loved that one jef great looking car , on another point , any chance you can show some modern cars i mean i know your show is all about classic cars , but i really want to see some cool modern cars pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
@iamproudtobeajew I'll definitely add in some modern cars occasionally. Vipers, mustangs, corvettes, porsches.....that sort of thing. Thanks for watching!
sweet jesus. this car would make my friend who had a hearse suicidal. he got a 69 caddy fleetwood funeral coach and my god it was a pile of rust with some tires underneath and the 500ci motor. that thing is absolutely gorgeous. someone at my high school had a 59 or so with hideous chameleon orange/green paint job and a dixie horn. i hear some led zeppelin in the background. cadillac used zep's "rock & roll" for their commercials n stuff so the song fits nicely.
@FatGuyWithAKatana Yep, Cadillacs are pretty sweet. Back in the day, you had to have a Cadillac to be considered a "somebody" It was a sure sign that you were making the big bucks.....or that you were a criminal....or both.
i'd hate to have an accident with that car....1- because i'd have no vehicle left..and 2- because the cadillac might get a scratch on it....Great video...thumbs up!!!
@HALLSYSKITCHEN Yep, that thing is a real monster.....I'm not sure if it would fit in my garage. It sure is a beauty though. Thanks for checking it out!
@MyAussieDay It's pretty reasonable considering the condition it's in. It's especially cheap if you figure it by price per ton....lol. Thanks for watching!
Those big old GM's ride SO nice though. I swore off ever getting another gas guzzler. But man, there's so much vintage iron going for cheap money right now. *drool*
I was just curious, do you get to drive any of these cars you feature in your videos?
I seen the identical car sitting in a driveway for years not the condition of that one but it disappeared I think someone bought it restoration as it had a for sale sign in it. I like the hardtop style too bad they discontinued that body style.
very nice car, but its not a scratch on the 59 Caddy :) I think im right in saying that my dad nearly brought one of these just for the engine, that he needed for his 59 caddy which is seized, they had the same engines, the car he was going to buy for the engine is still sitting out side a house in London rooting away with a smashed out back window :( wonder if the engine is still good, still need a 390 CI engine for the 59 caddy, which sits in the garage awaiting..............
@MO3MINI The 59's are definitely very desirable. They had those huge fins on top of fins. All the old Cadillacs are pretty cool though......it was always the symbol for those who had really "made it"
@RamblinAround yep the 59 was well known for having the largest fins of that year :) and the rocket shaped tail lights are just awesome, i love throwing a battery in my dads old 59 caddy cant start it, but you can get all the lights and everything electrical to work. Turn on the radio find a radio station and out somes 50's music, it only plays 50's music :) Theres a 56 convertible in London rooting outside a house aswell :(

Wow, $13'000- That's nothing! My dad put together a 1963 DeVille Convertible from scratch here in Norway and sold it for nearly $40'000.
I realize car's are a bit more expensive here in Norway, but still.

oh I can defiantly see the plastic seat cover. A passenger doesn't even need a seat belt on a hot day with that thing to stick to.

@kookiemoose Yeah, I can remember sticking to the vinyl seats in my parents' station wagon in the summer.
