Dedicate this piece of Brahms to the innocent people, foremost young people, murdered in Norway and all those who are passing away, f.e. in Somalia and elsewhere around the Globe through whichever conditions these people are not at all, responsible for! R.I.P.
@curlyman217 Just a few. From the US: Armin Schubert (2nd violin), Matthew Hunter (viola), Stefan de Leval Jezierski (horn) and Sarah Wills (horn). Stanlay Dodds (2nd violin) is from Canada and Edicson Ruiz (double bass) is from Venezulela.
@curlyman217 We have no statistics on that, of course, but spontaneously I would say that Americans perform in the auditions as good as musicians from any other country.
How cool is this! Only a month ago I performed this myself playing horn in "Het Concertgebouw" in Amsterdam and now my favourite orchestra in the world uploads this on youtube! I wanted to say that I think the directing of the concerts are always really good! Cheers to the people that put these live streams together! I love to watch them on the digital concert hall!
And cheers to Berliner Horns too!! Can I expect a new CD soon? I loved " Opera!" I'm a big fan!
what kind of ignorant person would dislike this music? don't people understand the beauty of music anymore? are they completely numb to the warmth of the music and how it warms and soothes the soul?
I honestly don't know where this generation is going ><

@BerlinPhil Thanks! Is the fact that there are fewer Americans because they don't audition, or because they audition and don't make it? Just curious.
