She sounds terrible! I like Whitney Houston, I think she was the best female singer of them all, but her voice has lost the quality it once had. She cannot sing this song like she used to. Her singing voice now doesn't appeal to me as it used to. She is still a great singer because of how she could sing, but she isnt a good singer these days as her voice has lost its quality. Dionne Warwick never lost the quality in her voice but Whitney Houston did because of drugs.

Respond to this video...OH and one more thing! Yes, the female voice does loose some of its upper notes as women age but THIS train wreck is due to neglect. Exhibit A...Jennifer Holiday. she has been singing And I am Telling you.....for 30 YEARS!!!!! And all she has done to it is lower the key one 3rd octave. Still sounds exactly the same. Most ppl don't even notice unless u play the original and the new one back to back.

I don't know if it's the breathing but yes she would probably do better not moving around as much. Still a great singer no doubt, blows away today's female singers even now. But she's lost a lot of the range she used to have. She doesn't seem to hit the higher register anymore. Here she's kind of letting the backup vocals fill in and she throws in "dance..." puts her arms up. She's still great though,

Ok i must confess that in the beginning i thought Whitney would come across a problem in her comeback. Her songs were too difficult in the first place. So i imagined that being unable to sing them now as she originally did, that they would lose most of their essence and beauty. But i must admit this still sounds quite good and she grooves with it very nicely - bottom line it still makes me want to dance. Love it!

I have to agree she is amazing, the silly thing is people want her to sound the way she did during that era, but as time goes by the voice change and she did an amazing job to shape the song for her vocal range now, kudos to her, and I know shell do well on her tour as long as she doesnt waste time and energy on comming to the US, so of us americans dont know how to appreciate good music and good talent. That looks like one boring audience!! She did a good job here. I wish more than anything that Whitney would do a tour or show (Vegas maybe?) much like Cher's farewell tour. All her old hits, in their original arrangements, w/lots of costume changes (updated versions of the video clothes) and splashy stage productions. I know Whitney doesn't like theatrics or changing clotes too much (typically she changes once during a show) BUT people would eat a show like that up!!
