Nice videos and thanks for sharing as I am planning to go see these old growth forest in couple of weeks. By the way, I liked the introduction you had. Was their a special technique that you used to make the movie introduction, i-e the background is blurry while the focus is on you.
That video was shot with a Canon 5dmkII camera with the 24-105mm lens. If you open up the lens, shot around f-stop 4, you will get "bokeh" or a blurry background while the person is in focus. It's all about using a manual camera and aperture control. Hope that helps.

If they continue to log these forests, what will be have left to soak up all the carbon emissions from fossil fuel burning on this plant? Are selfishness and greed always going to be our principle defining human characteristics, or are we going to grow up and wise up as a race before it is too late for this planet? Of course I'm referring to the oil and logging companies and the weak or greedy politicians don't have the 'stones' to stand up to big business.
