  • Take every.thing like taht seriously

  • Oh, i feel bad for you. Stupid "electronic" sirens... Mechanical sirens are better. Tell your local EMA directors to get a mechanical siren!!!

  • no point running if a nuke is on the way u need a teleporting watch or something and because they dont exist u may aswell just crack open a cold one and lie there waiting for your million degree suntan

  • Nuclear? U get a real nuclear warning shut all windows and doors to not become a zombie

  • Is it the Nuclear Power Plant near Hudson, WI?

  • Youre lucky, we dont have sirens here in Maryland they have ONE in the city but thats it. the only other one i know of is at a fire department over 30 miles away. A lot of help that does us

  • Snow! :D I live in PA and the snow we get here is awesome too.

  • @PlausableApple4 What? Snow or nuclear power plant alarms?

  • @ziggyboi1995 the snow xD

  • and when do they test these

  • and when do they test these

  • its quiet...*he laughs*, then *bright light and shockwave* then zombies

  • this is silent hill...we found it!!! also snowing....

  • @Thewoog34 naw, the siren from silent hill is the samur siren.

  • Translation: GTFO NAO BITCH

  • @EP1KCAMPER Ha ha ha...

  • whelens are popular sirens for nuke plants because of there voice capabilities and different tones

  • did u saw Chuck Norris in action?

  • Looks like it's covered in ash and there's about to be more explosions.

  • Silent hill

  • @BuzzKillingtonTV Naw, the silent hill siren is a Federal Signal STL-10. This is a Whelen from the mid-to-late 90's.

  • These sirens basically scream "Hey, if you haven't panicked yourself to death, Nukes are coming! Good luck! Haha, just kidding. But on the off-chance you do survive, the fallout or radiation'll get you!"

  • lol nuclear winter :P

  • i live in redford , near detriot

  • You'd think you lived in desolate Russia or something, haha that's exactly how it looks up here in Collingwood, Ontario in the Winter, although we get tons of wind.

  • they had a nuclear powerplant in IL and my friend got a tour because his dad worked there and he got radiation poisining and died and the power plant got sued and then shut down

  • man just hearing that kinda freaks me out atleast the one hooked up to palisades isnt that eery sounding

  • thanks, town, for letting me know that i am moments away from death. i will now go fuck my wife one last time.

  • DON'T WORRY I GOT THIS SHIT.

  • SHIT! SOMEONE GOT A 25 KILLSTREAK!! EVERYONE BACKOUT!!!!

  • were you scared?

  • "Enemy NUKE incoming.. Its over" MW2

  • These aren't just to remind people of terrorist attacks. If there is a system failure or something at a nuclear power plant, they'll sound to warn that there may be potential catastrophe. It's basic purpose is to say- "Grab the kids, wife and cats, you need to GTFO."

  • Nuclear bomb fact#1 Did you know that you can be up to 6 miles away from a nuke and you will still get 3rd degree burns.

  • Nuclear Winter!

  • fuck... 25 kill streak

  • The point of the Siren is to tell you it Time for Lunch.. NO alert tone sounded, just ALL CLEAR!

  • It would be better if someone just came over the speaker saying, "Holy shit theres a nuke coming."

  • a nuclear winter is when an atomic bomb drops!!!

  • this gives new meaning to the term nuclear winter, hahah

  • wasn dat fürn scheiß video? ehy das ding spängt ja meine neuen PC Boxen boah ehy

  • @BeagleFreund Ich bin nicht Deutsch.

  • whatever, you must live in a different country where the siren is different, or maybe you are just haering impaired. one of the two. hell, for all i know its both.

  • I have a friend that works at the nuclear plant, when you stated it was in Southwest Michigan I knew exaclty what you were talking about. I live in Saginaw and work at a Chemical plant in Midland, we have sirens for the same purpose.

  • t128's

  • tbh i'd rather die without having to go through the annoyance of shitting myself beforehand!

i'd actually die if that was near my house :/

  • where in the hell does it say nuclear plant?

  • WHere is this ?

  • thats not a nuclear alarm siren. that is a tornado/ hurricane siren.

  • @Free4AllMaster 'Nuclear Plant' kind of gives away that this is not a tornado siren :P

  • @Free4AllMaster not it isnt idiot have you ever heard one

  • @homerboy12345 yes i have, that is a fucking tornado siren. get off my ass. i know what it sounds like.

  • @Free4AllMaster hahahahahah fail you messed up

  • Good lord sir, that is awful, why don't you write to the governor or local member of parliament , that noise would wake the dead

  • "Be Like Burt.Duck And Cover"

  • this December is getting lame. i only got 1/4 of an inch of snow and just north of us they got 3 feet!! I WANT SNOW TOO. Happy Holidays BTW! :)

  • *OMG I JUST DID A ;) ON MY OtHER COMMENT! SORRY DIDNT meAN TO DO THAT.

  • *looks outside*

HOLY **** WHY DIDNT THEY WARN US EARLIER?

What a white nuclear winter. ;)

  • -opens door- SHIT nuclear winter already!

  • In Norway we test the sirens once a year(Air raid) . We do not have the old sirens like Castle castings, but modern sirens.

  • i hope that you will only have to hear that siren when they are testing it

  • This sounds a lot like the severe weather sirens we have here in Alabama. The tests for those aren't one long tone like this one. So I would be FREAKING OUT if I heard this.

  • i herd the same siren outside my school i was walking out of a building then that same time it was on i was like holy shit is there a nuclear power plant warning but then i found out it was a test. THANK GOD

  • so thats wat that was holy shit ive heard that in 2008 too, in stl

  • YOUR FUCKED!!!!. THIS IS A TEST ONLY A TEST

  • is that for the plant in South Haven?

  • you're like "eh, it's all good it's just a test" then you see a bright flash of light and you're DEAD no jking

  • there's no point once it hits the ground, you'll be dead there are enough weapons in the world 2 start a nuce explosion over 1,000 times :(

  • "Ma, there's a giant Moog parked over the howse ..."

  • lol the snow looks like fallout, Looks legit

  • where i live one of those sirens which was hidden and i dont know why it was placed near a supermarket, went off and nobody knew what it was, people kept askin me what is that sound, i plainly told them its a war siren, they laughed and went on their way, never knew there was that much ignorance

  • i live right by a nuclear fallout shelter and it has the mw2 nuke alarm its pretty cool but the problem is they test it at 6am every saturday.

  • sounds like a whelen

  • snow is wonderful in michigan isnt it?

  • Where in southwest michigan? I live in northern indiana and the closest nuclear plant from South Bend is Cook nuclear plant in Bridgman, Michigan.

  • I've heard two of these outside my house over the past 3 months.

  • lol that would be sooo scary! if u just wake up and u find that going off!

  • When my dad went to school in the 60s he heard them all the time. Then you were supposed to duck under your desk.

  • This is a warning sign in case there's an incident at a nuclear power plant; it has nothing to do with nuclear weapons. Those of you who are stupid enough to believe that when a nuclear power plant melts down, it explodes like an atom bomb, should be forced to go for a swim in the reactor pool. :)

  • @DarthCormac What's the difference? I have no clue what either is, I'm not stupid or anything just curious, I don't live in any area or near a populated area, I live far away from a nuclear power plant. I don't even know what those do...lol I live wayy to up north..

  • well its obviously a whelen siren due to the sudden cut off and then its totally silent

not a bad video, you should watch mine

  • Whats the point of a siren? If a nuke goes off near you your screwed anyway.

Why die with a REALLY annoying siren blaring in your ears?

  • might as well know what hit you. and its not for a nuke, its for nuclear testing.

  • Not necessarily dead, just badly irradiated possibly. There's a good chance you'll survive the initial explosion.

  • @OURVIDZSUCKBALLZ

Well they would set it off if they tracked it before hand.

  • The siren is also used in case of an accident at the plant and an evacuation is ordered.

  • @OURVIDZSUCKBALLZ to get to a bomb shelter; the popularity of personal bomb shelters is growing. plus, why not TRY to save others/yourself by trying to get to a shelter. major metropolitan areas usually have shelters. telling people something like that is incoming would increase the survivability rate of the local population.

basically, either you do something and probably die or don't do anything and certainly die.

  • @OURVIDZSUCKBALLZ

You can at least know how you die. I also kind of like that sound.

  • @OURVIDZSUCKBALLZ Yeah, like everyone has a emergency capsule that goes to Croatia in les than 0.7 nanoseconds!!

  • @OURVIDZSUCKBALLZ

To make you shit yourself every time it tests.

  • @OURVIDZSUCKBALLZ get to shelter; you can survive... if you are away from the radiation and blast... and can stand the heat

  • @OURVIDZSUCKBALLZ it's not for nukes, it's a warning for a possible meltdown or radiation leak at the power plant he lives near.

  • The sirens are supposed to begin going off once enemy missiles are confirmed to be on their way. Such notification gives the civillians approximately 20-40 minutes to get to a fallout shelter, or just get as far away from major targets as possible.

  • @OURVIDZSUCKBALLZ nuclear sirens go off to warn residents of a radation leak and to evacuate. the event doesnt happen in one big explosion. you have time to evac before too much damage is done.

  • @OURVIDZSUCKBALLZ Might as well know you're dying, right?

    Stick it in the pooper.

  • @OURVIDZSUCKBALLZ

Isn't it also used if theres a nuclear power plant incident?

  • @OURVIDZSUCKBALLZ

Fallout, nuclear meltdown... Any number of reasons

  • @OURVIDZSUCKBALLZ well now a days theres foreign army plane detection things that can detect if the plane has a nuke in it (dont ask me how i know this) and they can sound the siren to tell people to go undergound and stay there till the siren or blast is over

  • @shaycarlFTw OR they can shoot it, PS don't say shit like that they get ideas *watchful eyes*

  • @OURVIDZSUCKBALLZ BECAUSE EVERYONE NEEDS TO SAY BYE BIES AND SQUEEZE A GALS BOOBS COS IT DON'T MATTA!

  • @OURVIDZSUCKBALLZ

If there is a meltdown at the plant the sooner people can leave the irradiated zone, the better. Bombs are bombs, nuclear plants very rarely exploded (even more rarely then a meltdown or leakage). These sirens are a warning that something has gone wrong and everyone should evacuate the area, NOT that they have 5 seconds to live. You are more likely to die from radiation poisoning by staying in the affected area for an extended duration, not the explosion (if there is one).

  • @OURVIDZSUCKBALLZ he lives next to a nuclear POWER PLANT. they don't make nukes there. That siren would warn you for a potential radiation leak, at which point you could drive away!

  • @OURVIDZSUCKBALLZ dude thats not a nuke BOMB alleart. thats for when there's a problem in the local nuclear power plant..

  • @OURVIDZSUCKBALLZ It's so you have the opportunity to knock one last load out.

  • @OURVIDZSUCKBALLZ so you can get to the damn bunker before it actually hits you

  • Comment removed

  • @BravoAlphaZero Are you sure about that? Has anyone actually seen a fallout/bomb shelter in NYC, Colorado Springs, Tampa, Washington, DC. in the last 20 or so years that was open to the general public for nuclear attack? I lived in an area really close to MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL; home to USCENTCOM, USSOCOM (primary targets in ANY large to intermediate scale nuclear attack). I never knew or heard of ANY shelters withing the Tampa metro or suburban areas. I think the laws changed since the 50s.

  • @guns4good hey im just an amature at nuclear knowledge and that stuff. really. living in a city that isnt a big target doesnt tend to give you much info about this, let alone accurate info.

  • @BravoAlphaZero No worries. ;-)

  • @guns4good Thanks. half the books from this library in this city contain books from the 50s anyway, we are that out of date haha. catch ya later.

  • @OURVIDZSUCKBALLZ

Its not the matter of an explosion, It could be a radiation leak

  • @OURVIDZSUCKBALLZ there usally because there near a nuclear power station so if there having problems then they can sound the siren which tells people to evac before it gets to dangerous

  • Hll ya I wanna live in Michigan, CA sucks! No snow down here.

  • i agree.

  • Do the houses around there have shelters?

  • Is this in Barren County?

  • its a whelen siren

  • Mmmm. Grew up there, I missed the "This was a test, of the public warning system, this was only a test" waking me up on Saturday mornings..Do they still use the Whelens or did they replace them with new ones (been a few years since I've been in SH)?

  • Michigan WOW!, It's bright and sunny here in Southern California

  • if its that clear from 7miles just think how loud it is in the plant!!!

  • you know Man o war? well almost as loud as those mutha's,but not quite.

  • HEAD FOR THE HILLS!!!!!!!!!! its a much nicer place to die

  • coward

  • ever heard of a little thing called sarcasm?

  • coward? if that weas real you would of been dead without warning.

  • lol

  • do u need to cough and talk through it

  • nice hahaa

  • I am a tad ignorant on this, but since when do sirens get tested when snow is on the ground? That was kind of interesting.

  • Nuclear warning siren

    -response to ccampbell1976

  • dork

  • sounds like a whelen :P i hate whelens, but the vid is good :D

  • How the holy hell can you hate Whelens? Those are the best - and the creepiest sirens out there. I especially love the ones with the loudspeakers...

  • moar like How the holy hell can you hate Thunderbotl sirens? Those are the best - and the creepiest sirens out there. I especially love the ones without the speakers, which are all of them. whelen lovers fail epicly >:3

  • i agree and done even dare give me " poor comment". chettas right. 100%

  • Noo, I'd have to say, for sure, The Thunderbolts (1000T and 1003) are the creepiest sirens ever made. They have that dual tone 'end of the world' sound.

  • why do they do these tests anyway?

  • To make sure the sirens work in case there is ever a real emergency I suppose. Let's just hope the emergency never falls on the first Saturday of any month though, because we'll all ignore it if it does, LOL!

  • nooo dont tell the terrorists thats when we do it

  • Is this for a nuclear missile threat or a nuclear reactor meltdown?

  • both

  • It warns against some sort of accident at a nearby nuclear power plant. Jeez, I'm glad the closest plant by my house is a good 100 miles away!

  • @scooter1977 Fermii?

  • @scooter1977 Mine happens on every last Tuesday of a month.

  • @Onjilover they do the tests to make sure it works incase of real emergency

  • @Onjilover

The NRC requires siren and regular testing of sirens in a 10 miles radius around nuclear plants. That has been required since the 3 mile island incident.

  • how often does this happen? and does it get annoying?

  • First Saturday of every month. It's not that annoying though, it only lasts for a minute, it's just the fact that it's so loud from so far away that amused me.

  • Welen 4004

  • Does this mean that you're having a nuclear winter?

  • LOL, I posted this vid on my blog and that was my blog title. :)

  • Nuclear....oh man funny....
