  • Rap, like Greenpeace, at the beginning was about one thing, and then it got hijacked by people with a political agenda, and transformed into something different. Rap used to be about a party, now it's about portraying a certain lifestyle or preaching from a pulpit. Rock did the same thing decades earlier. At one time it was about teenagers carving out their own identity and having fun, then it became a mouthpiece to push a political agenda. Music is a powerful thing. It was be great...or scary.
