If it's a straight horizontal line, that just means in the English language that you pronounce a vowel sound exactly as it sounds. So, in this case, the "O" would be pronounced just as it is.

Seems like an easy game overall, kind of like the egg game in WarioWare Twisted! (provided you remember to put the Game Boy Advance down before you start playing of course. XD), but fun.
