TamanduaGirl im glad Pua survived. She looked so bad before. I watched this video because i was looking for how to cure antifreeze poisoning <_< . My doggie licked it and became poisoned. He's doing better but isnt out the woods yet.

STS is a strep infection that goes systemic and acts like a poisoning and causes bleeding from inability to clot. Strep also causes scarlet fever and she did have the "rash" red skin from peticial bleeding and the peeling skin as she got better. It may have been her slower metabolism that helped save her. It can kill dogs in just hours(they usually bleed in their lungs). Google canine Streptococcal Toxic Shock for info on how a typical case progresses. She had a mix of dog and human symptoms.

Stewie's was born in domestically in FL. Pua couldn't survive in the wild. Funny no one asks why parrots and hamsters aren't in the wild and they have not really been domesticated in America all that long either.

I also didn't know that anteaters could vomit. How large is her mouth? I know from your other videos that she eats the meat gruel. Is this done with the long tongue, or can she pick up food and put it in her mouth?

I don't remember the exact circumstances but Stewie took the tip of m finger in his mouth the other day, that would be about the max size.

The claw little bits. They have their own techniques from licking it off claws, Stewie's favorite, to licking ot up, or taking a ball of it against a hand and cramming it into their mouth.

Thank you. Was a bad weekend but that first weekend was last month(last weekend of each month my vet is closed). So all that was drug out over a month of downs and ups but the first weekend of watching her suffer and able to do nothing was the worst. That Sunday night we got her ants and she ate them and perked up a wee bit and was such a relief.
