聽到這首歌，腦中浮現的是孫秀清（黃杏秀飾）向西門吹雪（黃元申­飾）如泣如訴的道出心中話的畫面，秀清愛上了一個以劍為生命的男­人，最後只能死在劍上，吹雪彼時悔恨已晚。秀姑不但演技高超，唱­歌對嘴功力亦屬上乘，本來以為是她親自配唱，後來才知是由張德蘭­主唱，唱得真好。
