  • awesome. video reminds me of the man eating catfish

  • boring

  • Looks amazing fishing. Good video. Do you have the drag set to let line come out when the fish pulls? It looks like you don't and that's why the line keeps snapping?

  • This is the only kind of hunting i can say is fair this is truly human vs animal. not sitting out in the woods and blasting it away with a gun. these people are physically exhausted afterwards .

  • Wait are they using the manta ray for bait??! I always go fishing in Sanibel and in Ft.myers never knew you could catch such big fish!

  • @MrFeer123

The Blackfin Rod company made the rod. They are out of Stuart, FL. Thanks for watching.

    Godspeed,

    Capt Ben

  • isent it iligal to catch them?

  • @jameshdfliSBDHVbshdv

Nah, perfectly legal for catch and release.

    Godspeed,

    Capt Ben

  • were are yall we cant ever catch them

  • @wilderloring

SW Florida, Ft. Myers, Cape Coral, Pine Island, Boca Grande

    They bite good here.

    Godspeed,

    Capt Ben

  • The 10 people that disliked this are Taliban

  • army guy seems to have more problems than any other ive seen big guy seems weak with no stanima Army Chew On This

  • For the one asking about the fish. That is a jewfish which belongs to the grouper family (scientific family name is Serranidae). The most recent common name now is Goliath Grouper.

  • youtube.com/watch?v=WgjlRbtR8Vo

    look at these please

  • عفيه

  • wow, thats all i can say, damn!

  • This talk show host is flying both Ritchie and those skates like kites. What a character this guy is. Too funny.

  • looks to me like you need to set the drag just a little less then what it already is ; - ) trust me......you'd land more fish and loose less hooks..

  • A sign of a true sportsman, not only did you practice catch and release but you also took an old hook out of its mouth that was probably bothering it for sometime. there is nothing more thrilling than the hit and tug of a fish/

  • these guys must have no balls. call these fish ball crushers

  • ahh man these fish are strong

  • Whats the song at the start?

  • ARe those stingrays? how are they not scared of them they got stingers that could kill you.

  • the stingers can be cut out and they wont kill you allt the time it depends where you get it lodged and if you try and rip it out again

  • nice

  • i've caught my fair share of fish but nothing THIS big. i think i'd need one of those strap-in seats with the rod holder to catch one of these goliaths without falling overboard.

  • There is nothing wrong with this fishing is fishing. There is nothing wrong with it.

  • bad tackle day

  • I agree with iT. Im sure more people do, but they don't dare to admit it.

  • Yeah if this guy fished he would know fish of that size aren't easy to catch. I only freshwater fish and I can tell you its not easy to catch huge fish. It's not just hooking up live bait and waiting for your bobber to go under. I use artificial baits only.

  • That is my point, if it is too big then why go fishing on these fishes?I am glad that you agree that they are too big and that it is taking to long to reel them in. But I can understand that fishing can be fun and relaxing though. And fishing isn't a bad thing. But having a fish hooked for let's say more then half an hour is too long to my opinion, I thought people go out fishing because they love the nature, but letting a fish be hooked for more then half an hour is not the way to show the love

  • insAneTunA you are a fucking dumbshit is all im saying dude we are at the top of the food chain even if they dont eat it they can sell get some money in enjoy themselves and so forth and its a fish its gonna get eaten by a bigger predator...Circle of Life is pure Win

  • No the circle of life is not pure win. Even the animals in the wild realize that. Taking what you really need like the animals in the wild do is totally different from hunting for pleasure. I think that it is time for you to go back to school h3llraise, if you like nature then you understand that it is not a cool thing to hurt animals for fun, even when the animal is a prey and going to be eaten by a bigger fish, it is still not cool to do....see part two

  • And since that fish is so big, it takes to much pain and time to catch within reasonable time. I am not saying that fishing should be forbidden, I am just saying that this kind of fishing should be looked over by lawmakers and by peoples with brains who in their turn advise the lawmakers. I am not sure if you can read all these words, it might be a bit to much for people like you. Greets from the Netherlands, iT

  • @insAneTunA fish have no nerves in their mouths

  • It is looking so stupid, I don't understand how you can be proud on catching a fish? Did they have the need to eat it? It is just lame and primal behavior from retarded human beings if you ask me. Any dumb shithead can catch a fish, humans know for thousands of years how that works, it is not difficult or hard to do. Did that animal look like it was having fun? What if I catch your dog like that...? It would be just as stupid. Try something that doesn't hurt animals, go chase some chickens.

  • what are you stupid , you would never be able to reel in that fish

  • Are you suggesting that he has some supernatural talents? you must be kidding me. How many normal guys do you want to see catch a fish? To a point I can see that fishing can be a sport, but this is not a sport anymore, it takes too long before the fish can be released because the fish is simply to big to real in fast enough. There is no NEED for me to do this but it sure isn't more difficult or harder to do then digging a hole in the ground.

  • you must be stupid

  • Is that all you have to say? All that intelligence and all you can come up with is "you must be stupid" .....??? English is not my language and still I can come up with better arguments then that. But go ahead, if you want to stay an idiot be my guest. But I gave good reasons why I believe that this kind of fishing has nothing to do with sport. You are just afraid that to many people agree with me.

  • Another dumb ass activist... you guys need to grow up and realize that humans are better and stronger than any other living thing on this planet... We don't have to be physically strong, our brains are our weapons.

  • some have brains that they can use as a weapon some even trained their brains for that reason only. People don't need much training too catch a fish. Hungry fish, fish wants food, put food on da hook, throw da hook into the water, fish bites in the food, and that's it. If you do the same with a duck, then you can catch a duck, but that would be immoral, only because we could hear the duck screaming for his life, but we can't hear the fish do we? So then it's alright. Hurting fish is not a sport

  • what can you expect to catc with cut bait in saltwater fishing?

  • no argument.. you are clearly stupid... :)

english isnt my first language blah blah blah what the fuck are you even talking about ? start thinking with the other side of the brain..

    fuckin prick

  • imagine the line burn this thing can make lols

if u let slip up a little....

  • omg 32 minute video!

  • I saw a moose once!

  • appreciate the army shoutout.. coming from B 2-19th, Columbus, Ohio

  • We are honored to have you guys aboard. Thank you all for what you do for our country.

    Regards,

    Capt Ben

  • @SaSinKaL ft 6 inch Ritchie from the US Army battles a multiple Giant Goliath Grouper Bass, Jewfish by hand and on a the Avet IronMan fishing rod.

  • The show was cool, but i think it would have been better had some one actually CAUGHT A FISH! That 400 lb. line is awesome, or so you say. It broke every time.

  • That's because the fish kept on getting into the pilings. The first 3 seconds determines who wins. That's just the nature of grouper fishing. Lining those pilings are barnacles. These are razor-sharp. I have seen barnacles slice through 1/2 inch anchor line.

  • Steve Irwin r.i.p

  • Must of been some fun tug of war!

    I wanna try ;)

  • that was alsome could i get a hint on catching big halibuts

  • That wasn't very respectful. Having someone who has never done that type of fishing before, I must say it was a commendable effort. Not to mention entertaining. Think of how your words impact others.

  • guess the army doesn't teach you how to land fish eh?

  • man you guys are great its amayzing how you catch the biggest fish .i live in boca raton fl and i fish every day but never catch anizing .

good luck on your next catch!!!

  • I've been a freshwater fisherman my whole life. I've been saltwater fishing though, and it is fun. But my heart will always be with freshwater. My girlfriend thought that hook was an anchor, bwahaha!

  • What a chubby HOG!!!!!! Man, that's officially a BEAST!

  • Does, Goliath Grouper eat stingray? Wow, I've never heard about Goliath Grouper can eat a stingray.

Thank you for share with us! :)

  • they eat everything what they found... u also can used life pawn, crab, octopus & something smell blood like meet 0r chiken..but life bait is the most effective

  • Ok why don't you use a shorter ROD??? That big rod gives the fish way more leverage!I would also use a belt.

  • Do boat rods come much shorter, i'm not sure, but you are so right about the belt.

  • That really looks like fun. He did a good job because when you are fighting a fish that is your body weight plus an extra 100 pounds or more, that is good. Thanks Capt Chancey another awesome video.

  • for handfishing you have to have the right kind of line, it can't be too thin or else it will cut into your hands, but it can't be too thick that the fish would notice it.

  • and I thought I had my hands full trying to find a 55 pound King salmon on 12lb. line for an hour and a half and chasing a quarter mile down the river ,these things make them seem like little worthless trout,LOL

  • HAHAHAHHA NAILED HIM IN THE HEAD OMG

  • AWESOME

  • those are some good reels

  • AS YOU WERE,soldier!

  • this is awsome

  • CAPT. CHANCEY YOU THE MAN!!!

  • Awesome show capt! ^5*****
