What a beauty she is! I remember watching her in awe go up Prescot over the years, used to live down the road at Gotherington, the gentleman who used to drive her was a little older though I think?
@caminojasper hahahaha my car has NONE of these things (and i'm driving it everyday). I'm talking about modern steering, brakes, lights, gears, clutch
Who's selling bullshit now, go back to your silly life...
@DaMastaOfRoad dual mass flywheel has been developped, better synchronisation of the gears, 7-speed gearbox (vs 4 or 5 speed), multitronic, tiptronic, what the hell is so important to light to make the car function, LOL, brakes have been developped much much much more (like positive grip change vs heat).
If you think your car has no katalysator, than you are the ratard.
Don't talk about something you know nothing about.
@caminojasper geez, you don't understand, the things i'm talking about are basics, without them the car wouldn't even properly function!! (try to drive a car with no steering or clutch) What you're talking about are unnecessary details and luxuries that just make it easier to drive. (is esp and injection soo important to you??)
wether i'm a "ratard" or not, my car has no kat, come and check it out!
@joshcroucher i dunno if its called a katalysator in english. But its the part of the exhaust that transforms CO, HC and NOx to less polluating gasses
good god, did you guys see that flywheel spinning around in there, right by the driver's foot!? wicked car thing though, i would want to drive it to school.
hat's the great thing about old cars, reliable and strong and simple.
Somehow I dount you'll be able to get a modern car to work in about 100 years! Unless if it's never been used or some other pointless thing to do with something! :L
The last time I saw this car was at Prescott hillclimb in 1979/80?. The elderly guy who drove it towed this car behind his green 1920's 3-litre Bentley.
He used to drain the engine coolant after every run (why?).
The 6 cylinder AC engine sounds 'spot-on'.
I don't recall the exhaust detail, but has this been altered? Would there be a lot of turbulence at the ends of each pipe?
very unique

Was this actually an old racing car, or is this a homebrew project done in the style of an old racing car?

Why have an exhaust when all it does, is lead the fumes in the face of the driver?
grill1234 7 months ago
U can say the most important elements of a car were made before christ, the wheel, steel and wood.
I dont see you driving a stone wheel and a wooden frame.

how fucking hard would it be to angle that header so ure not inhaling toxic fumes, congratulations moron

it's fascinating how all the important things for cars were invented before 1900
DaMastaOfRoad 11 months ago
@DaMastaOfRoad get the fuck off
Injectection, egr, carter ventilation, abs, esp, variable valve timing, variable compression ratios, katalysators.
Go selling your bullshit somewhere else

Please give us more!
Modern cars won't run at all in 20 years.
BMW/Porsche/Merc won't even give you an oil dipstick anymore. Modern M5 cars won't be able to have the oil changed at all soon. What a waste.

Awful exhaust flow but who cares, there's something really special about technology before anyone really knew how to do things!
