  • that last maain riff is so fucking awesome it makes me want to cry and get in a fight at the same time

  • musically, ozzy was the weak link in this band. tony, geezer, and bill were amazing musicians. oz had the personality to make it thru his lack of talent

  • @jugheadmcanus fuck you man. ozzys vocals are what made the early sabbath. it would not be the same without him

  • @MajinGogeta900 i agree 100%. His vocals were unique and helped define the Sabbath sound. They would not have been the same without him.

  • At 1:20...two fingers in the air!!

  • Geezer wif a pick !!!

  • I saw them at Liverpool Empire on this tour - the support band was some crap punk outfit that were brought in cos the original support band were just tooo good - an upcoming new band from the US called, er Van Halen.

  • best 7 min song EVER!!!! ozzy osbourne, toni iommi, geezer butler, bill ward probabally one of the best stage lineups of all TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Notice how Tony is smiling alot? Bet he's thinking yes! were gonna get rid of him soon!!

Haha I have nothing against the ozzman but by the time in the video, he was so fucked up

  • He's coked up

  • I remember seeing this at New Haven, CT in October of '78. So loud that you couldn't hear Ozzy when Tony was playing power chords---which was most of the time. Still, it was Sabbath and Oz left before the end of the tour. Great memory despite Van Halen as warm up playing from their shitty 2nd LP. Then again they were all shitty except the first one.

  • tony is in the middle....that;s why they used to fight with ozzy

  • Ozzy wanted it that way so he wasn't the main focal point

  • Ozzy sings like a man, not always the best, but to the great pleasure of his audience!

  • Despite all of your different points I think we're all in agreement that Iommi is a GOD

  • ozzy was not singing good here but he was never that good when they played live,he kicked ass when they were recording

  • had this whole show on vhs made me understand why they diched ozzy

  • I love Ozzy for everything he did in Sabbath but lately i've been pretty sick of Ozzy. He sued Iommi and shit, NOT cool.

The thing about Sabbath is they adapt good with different singers like Tony Martin and Dio. Gilliand is awesome too. But i could never see Sabbath without Iommi really...

  • He and Geezer are Sabbath for me

  • That Is One Of The Filthiest Riffs I've Heard In Rock Music :)

  • Ozzy is NOT singing good here.

  • Whoa...never seen Geezer using a Ricky before! Sounds awesome.

  • or a pick!

  • on the original promo vid of paranoid geezer plays also a rickenbacher

  • It's actually Glenn Hughes' old Ric. If you look at photos of Deep Purple when Glenn first joined the band he was using a Ric, it's the same one. He gave it to Geezer because he prefered playing a Fender P bass but Geezer never liked it and only used it on this tour.

  • I have read on interview that he just forgot his bass and stage clothes so he swaped a thunderbird for that ric with Hughes.

What about uploading never say die song from this same show?

  • Totally incredible!!!!!!!! WOW!

  • Best solo of all time!

  • I have to agree with a mate of mine who says that the use of wah wah in the solo gives a sleasy feel to the song- which fits in really well with the theme of the lyrics

  • my favourite song from their mid-70 albums with Ozzy

  • exercising my rights of freedom in the USA hear

  • in some of the damn "diamond trade" they call it blood money

    and that shit stinks

  • let's do a flip flop... i totally get this song

    however

    not a prostitute, nobody's f'ing whore

    it aint gonna happen

should we be talking damn fucking dirty money

well we "should" all be aware where that shit goes

some of us don't want dirty damn f'ing money

  • Never Say Die... Truth

    We don't give up

but this woman is not dirty... not to say some of us in the "line of fire" lifelong may have appeared to be so

    however

many that understand know exactly how clean we REALLY are

    xoxoxo

  • No other guitarist on earth ever will ever match the feeling that Iommi puts on playing his songs..... Sabbath rules!

  • 3:21 !!!! heaviest fucking riff EVER

  • I caught this tour back in november of 78 with Van Halen as the opening act . Ozzy was drunk off his ass that night. one could tell it was the begining of the end for this great band.

  • How did Van Halen sound? Did thier speaker system sound good or did they share the same amps? Was Van Halen awesome too? Man, I would really appreciate to hear some feedback. Thanks if you can!

  • Fucking best song with Master Of Insanity

  • i performed and sang this song on a black sabbath tribute and had a guitarist replayed the same solos that iommi played in '78. it was a honor doing it for sabbath and ozzy fans

  • omfg hear Geezers thing at 5:36 it's just amazing

  • They don't show Geezer enough. Awesome though, thanks.

  • Geezer is the most under-appreciated member of any band next to John-Paul Jones of Zeppelin. No one plays bass faster than Geezer!

  • exactly right they give the guy from rush the most credit for sum reason

  • BLACK SABBATH is no 1

    OZZY OSBOURNE no 1

    iloveyou black sabbath

    iloveyou ozzy osbourne

  • wow that guitar solo is a work of art in itself.

  • That solo is a haunting masterpiece in my book. Classic!

  • anyone know which venue this was at ? I went to the concert at Ipswich gaumont on the Never Say Die tour of 1978

  • Hammersmith Odeon in London England.

  • Monday June 19th 1978 at hammersmith Odeon - I know cause I was there - it was a great show on a really warm day the place rocked!! This date was added to the end of the tour to record this video - Van halen returned to US before this extra gig was held.

  • One of Iommi's best solos ever.

  • BLACK SABBATH ini band yang keren banget

  • keren abis black sabbath..

    melodinya mantap banget

  • mantap ini lagu keren abis oi

    BLACK SABBATH is the best

  • where can i download this whole concert???

  • you gonna download nothing, you go in a fucking store and buy the DVD man.

  • ....

    ...

    ..

    .

    (bittorrent)

This will probably get marked as spam or something..

  • WOW What a song!!

  • Tony Iommi gets all the atention here, but what can we say of Geezer's bass playing? He's just amazing, and this song has a perfect bass line.

  • Amen, Geezers hands are like no others

Tony maybe the guitarist and main songwriter, but Geezers bass and Bills upbeat jazzy fills inbetween really give him a backbone for his solos

  • sabbath has perfected their music for many years. today, they do some improvisation to make the music more interesting. some bands are not interested into doing this. ozzy does things the same way and changes key notes to accomodate his singing. tony iommi does that for ozzy, too.

  • an underrated gem, thanks for posting this.

  • Everyone loves a dirty woman. This song rocks.

  • sabbath isent a band it's a life style

  • damn straight man

  • hell yeah

  • what song is this album from

  • Technical Ecstasy 1976

  • this is just awesome

  • I agree with UncleJimmema, this is the best of the technical....And I want this rickenbacker!!!!!

  • That is a sweet bass!

  • SUCH A GOOD SABBATH SONG.

    thanks for posting.

  • This song is the highlight of Tony's awesome soloing. I love this song, probably the best of Technical Ecstasy.

  • One of the best performances i've heard from a heavy metal band. Amazing song!

  • Sweeeeeeeeeet!!!!!!!

  • that it is

  • Hell Yeah!!
