Agreed with NiTuS14, you will be a very great singer if you bring it up. Seriously, you have the voice to be a great singer, you just have to get your pitch up. If you can sing micro cuts up there in that g5 range the whole time, you can sing this the right pitch. Keep on singing.
I recommend you to sing an octave higher; Matt does and, if you don't, your voice will sound deep and not very dynamic. That's also why you may notice a huge jump between your chest voice and your falsetto. The only problem is that you'll need to sing very loud (watch some Muse perfomances and you'll see Matt sings several centimeters away from the microphone) , which is not very recommended to do if you live in a flat. :P
