Nice solves! You need to speed up a bit to try this at competition. This video is from a few months ago, so are you fast enough to get 7/7 in less than 70 min now? Nice accuracy. :)
I attempted a 4 cube multiple BLD at a competition I attended in August. I only got one of them and it took me almost 50 minutes. This always takes me more than 10 minutes per cube because I memorize and re-cap over and over and over. I also have to have zero auditory distractions, so doing this officially just doesn't work for me in general.
Its a little more complicated than this; but each spot for each piece has a letter, and I just memorize a cycle of letters as a story. I have a three part tutorial uploaded if you're interested in learning. Visit my channel, its one of my older uploads.
so far my best is 3/5, but that was because of an orientation messup and rushing on the memo for the fifth cube. For 5 cubes im around 30 minute memo and 10 minute execution.
Memo time is my biggest problem. I go quite a bit over the official regulation allotment of 10 minutes per cube (memo and execution). I plan on bringing that time down over my summer break. I want to do 5 officially, but I might do more :P
exicution is where i am losing efficiency. My best successful 3/3 attempt is 13 minutes including memo. Mostly i am a minor mistake off on one cube. I want to try six, but i want to get 5 down first. At my next comp if they have multiblind without a time limit (davinci had a 30 minute time limit, and they had to cancel because fewest moves was still going, well i was a few pieces off on 4x4 BLD), i am probably either going to attempt 4 or 5. maybe 6 if i get there =)
also, whats your memo method? it seems very efficient. I am limited for multiblind because i have no memo method besides visual. Have you ever tried 4x4 BLD yet?
I memorize corner orientation visually, corner permutation with numbers, and edges with letters (12 edges x 2 sides each = 24 letters). I wanted to do 4x4x4 BLD at one point, but when I figured out that I would have to memorize two separate cycles for centres I changed my mind. Maybe if someone could teach me a solid method I might try it again, but I really can't figure out a method of my own that works for me.
for 4x4 BLD im around 15 minute including memo, but i use Luf as a buffer and memo using a letter pair method. For edges i do visual as well with corners. just work at it and it gets much easier. Im too lazy to adapt letters to 3x3 multi
Try out the algoritm r' u' r U r' u r U'. You could also instead of U or U' adjust the top layer however you like then do the rest of the algoritm depending on where the piece is, thats how ive done my attempts so far. My closest was 5 edges off.

on the DNF cube the 5th one, was it a DNF because 2 edges were flipped?

Good job man! But enough of the (n-1)/n multi-blindsolves. :)

damn man do you use old pochmann but orient corners first?? lol try 4x4 BLD, looks fun lol

I've looked into 4x4BLD. I cant come up with a good way to solve centres (I can't memorize dual parallel cycles... they drive me crazy).
elimescube 3 years ago
lol at least you can still solve the centers, i cant even do a 4x4 bld lol
