I like the "new" placebo much more. The music is more emotional, from deep inside the soul, I think the older songs (although I like many of them very much) comes from brian- the boy, the new songs are from brian- the man :)

Too many people suffer in life. Steve Forrest is full of life, I prefer his vibrance to Hewitt.

I like that Stefan and Brian are growing as people and seeing the world in it's colourful glory.

I think that Brian has grown as a song writer.

Or maybe not... however, it's important for me to understand the meaning in the songs I listen to and "Meds" is much more "easier" album than "Without you I'm nothing".

You know, when I listen to this song I'm like "oh, it's beautiful... wait, what is it about?!" and when I listen to Blind and I think "aha, I've felt it so many times..."

To me, what I've heard off the new album (For What It's Worth and Battle for the Sun), is excellent. I continues where Meds left off, while still taking us back to Placebo and Without You I'm Nothing. While still being entirely fresh, new, and original. I personally don't think they have put out one bad thing EVER, and Battle for the Sun will continue in that tradition. No worries.

Slow your roll. I did say I had the album (though I wish) just the I heard two track off the album. Battel for the Sun (the Track not the album) is/was able for download off thier site and can also be found on youtube. I found the video for For it's Worth (the first official single) on the UK's mtv website where you could vote on hot new track and watch videos. Everything I said is speculation based on the two tracks I heard.
