Just wondering, what was so hard for you in those 2 years as you mentioned.. I remembered a couple Mr and Mrs Dangumars, taught English it was an eye openning for them to see a Samoan school teacher punished the student, with a windows stick, but before their time was up, they'd mastered the skills..hahaha..lol.. thanks for helping our people man..
Well being away from home and family for 2 years is very hard. As for seeing Samoan teachers punish students with sticks, I saw that as well but took a different turn. PC Volunteers are suppose to be an example for the community, so I chose to never hit my students.
I envy your experience, you have lived my dream. I'm sure you took as much away from those beautiful islands as you contributed to their them. Bless you.
No, my time as a Peace Corps volunteer came to an end in December. I was able to upload this video from an internet cafe in Samoa while I was still there.
It was more then a positive experience, it was a life changing experience. Those 2 years were very hard, but I wouldn't change them for anything in the world.

Well it doesn't have to be a dream. Anyone at any age can join the Peace Corps.
