'something sweet' just popped up on my itunes and i thought myself, 'i wonder if the boorays have anything on youtube...' and sure enough! this is awesome. Mark is my uncle.
@fbodoug Did you work there when Mark did? We worked in the screen printing place downstairs. I see "doug" in your user name. I think there was a Doug that I partied with and he lived in Oakville. Steve Debisshop also worked there. Man that was over 20 years ago...lol...and I thought Mark was old back then. He still looks like a kid though. I wonder if he still has the same Michigan license plates on his car? LOL
@xbht yeah, i was one of the guys that made the artwork for the screens. i remember Mark sitting outside at lunch writing songs in his notebook. Man that was a long time ago. i still keep in touch with Steve but haven't seen the rest of them since.
Man it has been a long time. I went to several shows. I used to work with Mark at Johnny Macs. Several drunkfests at the Red Sea. Also was at your Clam Bake party when you guys lived off of McCausland I think. Tell Mark "BOB" says high. we were part of the crowd loudness on your demo...lol.
My band Naked Soul (not the one with all the videos on youtube, that's some other Naked Soul) played with these guys and they were fantastic. All three albums are great, especially the first one. Great lyrics too.
Hi Sunyatta. This is Mike from the Boorays. The band got together recently to play a few tunes and talked about playing a show in the Fall or Winter. We're getting together again in August. I'll keep you posted, and keep in touch!
Mark Stephens gave me a copy of his then band The Highway Matrons when I was in a band called The Locked Sound and we'd come and play Fred's and Lemmon's, does anyone know if he's guitaring/vocalizing for a band now? I'd love to hear it.
Ya know, it's funny - I've known Mark Stephens (the lead singer) for about 15 years, played in a band with him, and this is the first time I've ever heard the Boorays. Rawk.
The Boorays were one of THE great bands to come out of St. Louis in the 90's. Take a listen to "Catch Me Keep Me" and "Remember This". Seriously, everything the band produced was worthy of a "Band of Gold". DJ

It's been a long time since I've seen this video. I heard that they were regrouping. Does anyone know if this is true? That would be awesome.
