What is harpsichord doing in a classical era concerto? I'm sure Haydn didn't include harpsichord, actually basso continuo at all in the original score. There try to be period-authentic, but actually they they are less-authentic than other performers. Harpsichord has nothing to do with classical era. And I've noticed there are a lost of so-called period-experts using harpsichord in Mozart's, Haydn's and even Beethoven's music. Stupid.

This IS romantic playing and he IS a very romantic player, although occasionaly tries to play in the right period. This concerto and his recording of bach cello suites is one of the most horrible he had ever done. However, he does have some other good recordings, like the rococo variations.
