  • Please do not upload my video on your channel.

  • hah! omg he looks so young!! woww. and this is excellent!

  • This is a very good concert!!!

  • Please do not copy and upload my videos without giving me credit. I will stop uploading if this continues.

  • @Nodame2006 kind of a silly question, but since it is regarding something as serious as youtube ethics. isn't the propagation of a rare and beautiful recording slightly more important than citing a seperate youtube post?? unless if the footage was original and you have copyright issues going on. my personal take is that if you don't want to share something. then don't share it. btw if it was your original post. thank you for posting it. i saw it on your channel first (nodame2006). =)

  • yoyoma is my uncle , then don´t worry

  • hahaha how old was he??

  • wow. i didn't know he did stuff like this when he was this age.

  • Soloist shows all the signs of future greatness.

  • rofl!

  • How young!! XD How old is he?

  • Does anyone know which cello Yo-Yo is playing in this recording? It looks like the 1733 Montagna, but I'm not 100% sure.

  • Es John Williams el de las bandas sonoras?

  • Si, es el de star wars, harry potter etc...

  • Haha... look at 4:55! His face is showing how concentrated he is in this songl.

  • i hate to pop your bubble, but thats him feeling the music, not being concentrated

  • yo, xeo, lets see u do better than yoyo ma

  • What is harpsichord doing in a classical era concerto? I'm sure Haydn didn't include harpsichord, actually basso continuo at all in the original score. There try to be period-authentic, but actually they they are less-authentic than other performers. Harpsichord has nothing to do with classical era. And I've noticed there are a lost of so-called period-experts using harpsichord in Mozart's, Haydn's and even Beethoven's music. Stupid.

  • Actually, the academics say Haydn himself could have even sat behind the keyboard to play the basso continuo line.

  • he plays wonderful!

  • this is amazing

  • this is ma at his best. Haydn is his meat, even though few acknowledge it, and frame him as a big romantic player- which he is not. bravo

  • I don't know. His interpretaion is very romantic in style...

  • Yah it seems very romantic in style

  • This IS romantic playing and he IS a very romantic player, although occasionaly tries to play in the right period. This concerto and his recording of bach cello suites is one of the most horrible he had ever done. However, he does have some other good recordings, like the rococo variations.

  • yah i have to admit his bach suites are kind of weird

maybe its just me but i dont like his version

    my favorite is Mstislav Rostropovich

  • Although I prefer Pierre Fournier's Interpretation I think this recording is extremely nice, be it romantic or whatever.

  • superb playing
