  • Oh my! I need this to cure my stress and work overloads working with a bosszilla here. O God, please make her (my boss) go to the labour room ASAP (she's pregnant almost due btw) It's not good for me if shes overdue my hair is falling too bad!! :-SS

  • Thank you Markus! I really want to try this tea now. It sound wonderful. Does it matter what type of pine tree the needles come from?

    Cheers,

    ~Claudia

  • @ClaudiaMSutton

Any pine tree will work. Just make sure it's not a Yew tree, (found in Canada) which looks like a pine but isn't. It can be recognized by having flat soft leaves that look kinda like needles. But any basic normal pine tree will work, even spruce.

  • thank you markus.. detoxing and this is the info i wanted to find.. its so easy and all around us .. natural, healthy plants -rhsc nyc

  • also look into pine pollen guys its an amazing super food thats on pine trees love light and godbless

  • @edwardsaladhands Yes! I take pine pollen every day.

  • where is the love it button???

  • Wow I love your energy. Nice material. I shall make a list of things to get from my local Asian store. PEACE :)

  • Pine needles have sulfer? They had sulfer in the water in arkansas. Wow. It tasted awful that water.

  • I'm just a mess and don't know where to start. My BP is normally 115 to 117 over 80 to 85 BUT Some days it gets up to 130/90 Which for me, makes my eyes not work right/head pound/and feel weird all over..so I have to then take a High BP pill. I have anxiety/panic issues. infertility problems (blocked tubes),Some days I can hear fine and other days I can barely hear anything out of 1 ear. So I don't know where to start with all of this, but I certainly don't have much money to buy everything.

  • hi markus, can you eat the pine nuts from that pine you show? of what kind of pine does pine nuts come from?

  • @TheMalavia There are many many kinds of pine trees and pine nuts, all edible. The Canada Yew tree looks like a pine tree but is not edible. The needles on that one are flat and soft, not really needles like pine trees. But pine nuts are great.

  • you look incredibly young o_o like in your 30's

  • Can I boil the pine needles alone and drink it instead of having to ADD rosemary and licorice root?

  • Man, my mom's gonna love this. She's all about the natural!

  • thanks for the vid Markus!! you're right i didn't know pine needles were edible ^.^.

  • Change the title, I almost don't clicked it.

But after I saw it WHOOO! I was AMAZED of the information FLOOD!

  • This is ssssoooooooo awsome and helpful! Thanks mark, keep em comin...

  • Dude.. You be the man..!

    Love listening to your clips

  • Okay, but now what happens when pinecones starting sprouting from my limbs?

  • This tasted disgusting and bitter. Is that what its supposed to taste like? Also it was very stimulating, was more stress inducing than relieving. Are you supposed to dilute this before drinking it? Please respond

  • @phoggee Sounds like you overboiled it and made it way too strong. You don't even need to boil the water- just sit it in a glass jar in the sun for a while, or simmer it on low heat. It should be straw color, not dark. If it is dark from sitting too long, add more water. Also sounds like you didn't use any licorice root or very little because that stuff is super sweet, and using too much makes it almost too sweet to handle. Yes making it too strong will overstimulate you.

  • Awesome vids, man thanks a lot!

  • Wow! amazing info, thank you for sharing.

  • only drink licorice root for about a month.. then stop taking it. Its a good idea to read up on licorice before you start drinking it on a regular basis. Go on the internet and look up licorice. It has great benefits but there is a flip side.

  • I love you, I understand herbal medicines , and your such a breath of fresh air

  • So can you use any kind of pine tree needles? I'm in Florida & we got pine trees all over the place. About 4 or 5 different species.

  • @powrxplor69 Yes. The only one to stay away from is not really a pine tree, but looks kinda like one... the yew tree which has flat soft needles, not round hard needles. It has red berries which are edible (but not the seeds) This tree is featured in the new FREE LIVING 101 dvd set

  • @MarkusRothkranz

Cool, thanks. I'm gonna try this tea!

  • I really want to try this, thanks for the recipe. It's a lot of fun trying out different infusions, especially when the ingredients are freshly picked.

  • I'm going to make this tea. I have 3 pine trees in my yard, I have rosemary, all I need is the licorice.

  • Anyone who is pregnant should NOT drink pine needle tea!!! It will cause miscarriage! Everything he said is true about it though. We native Americans gave this tea to save the pilgrims from scurvy. It works, but again it will cause miscarriage, so please be careful!

  • Super, aber auf deutsch kann pine sowohl Kiefer, Fichte als auch Pinie sein, welches ist es?

  • Fantastic tea and fantastic video. Thankyou!

  • Have you ever juiced these ingredients? I expect you wouldn't need very much. I have horsetail and cleavers in my garden and have used those in juice, they are well strong...thanks for these videos, loving seeing how nature can make us well again :)

  • @nyxs60 i used to just blend this sort of stuff up and drain it to remove the chunky stuff thats pretty much like juicing it :)

  • Don't you destroy the vit C when you boil it?

  • @sirmarkthomas

It does destroy some of it, but pine needles have an unusually high amount of powerful antioxidants and polyphenols that protect the volatile elements like vitamin C and sulfur. Amla berry also has these high protection levels. Anyway, it also helps to dry or freeze the needles first to crack the cell walls so you get more power out of them.

  • I have licorice roots :D :D

  • THANK YOU!!!

it will be my everyday tea!!!

    thank you so much markus!

  • THANK YOU!!!

it will be my everyday tea!!!

thank you so much markus! :)

  • Love your videos, Markus ! You're brilliant ! :) So many of us are deeply appreciative. Keep up the good work !

  • thats why TPTB are trying so hard to stop people from knowing this...

  • He sounds like a commercial.

  • @1madaboutguitar

    I am... for healthy living

  • @MarkusRothkranz Fair play to you mate, I was kinda joking anyhows.. ;-)

  • @MarkusRothkranz

Well put! And you ARE a SUCCESSFUL COMMERCIAL !!!

Here's ONE reason why: I sent your Liver video to my 76 y.o. mother; who is from Germany and drinks some herbal teas; but always thought that I was"nutty" about pushing raw foods. After watching your videos, she's inspired to increasing her raw foods!

I more than DESPERATELY want to get off the med's I'm taking for Hypothyroidism. Any ideas that would really work? I would be most grateful. ~ Bliss :-)

  • @1madaboutguitar

Markus should be commended for sharing his knowledge. His videos are well-done and informative, and I love the guy for the message he imparts. He practices what he preaches, and isn't motivated by greed like most people . . .

  • I tried it, its tasty and it is free just find a pine tree and pick them off the tree take it home and brew it up.

  • How many times can you make the tea using the ingredients? is it new each batch of ingredients each time or can you use them again for a second pot?

  • @DOBERSTAFFIE a couple times is ok

  • @MarkusRothkranz ..That`s good to know, I love this tea - thanks a million for sharing your knowledge.

  • Makes me want to unsubscribe from all the other raw food youtubers I gullibly follow.

  • @Mawkus Rothkranz Thank you for teacjing us so many fabulous things about all these plants wich value we ignore. I was waiting for your new videos so anxiously,..

  • Could I eat the pine needles raw? I'd blend them up or something, LOL.

  • Cool tips!

  • I made around 5 cups of this on my stove top, and added about half a cup to my green smoothie and it was amazing try it out!!!

Alles Liebe!

  • Can you up those ingredients into a large jar and make it like sun tea? Also with the licorice root, can you just eat it like it is?

  • @leahcimrac make as much as you want. I guess you could munch on raw licvorice root if you like munching on wood

  • @MarkusRothkranz lol maybe I'll crush it up first. Markus, do you know of any good wild foods that has Lutein, Zeaxanthin or Beta Carotene? Thanks.

  • Excellent! :-)

  • Wow, thats awesome, also you seem to know alot about herbs, are you an herbalist or something.

  • Awesome video Markus!!! You rock so many socks!

  • I've gone raw for the last week or so and it's funny how light and energized I already feel. I've gotten a few pimples, but I guess it's a kind of detox where crap comes up to the surface from within. I'll keep going for at least a week or two more to see what happens.

Oh yeah, to keep things a bit more on topic this tea was quite good and made me sleep very well. I have a sweet tooth, though, so I added some agave. :-)

  • @Nidhogg86

You probably didn't have enough licorice root in there- that stuff is super sweet

  • @MarkusRothkranz

I need to try some other sort and see if it has more flavour then. Another thing while I'm at it; how long does the body's supply of B12 last? I haven't gotten to eating roots and such yet, heh.

Rock on, and thanks for taking your time.

  • Great video!

  • Will the benefit of this tea change if it is turned into an iced tea?

  • @Afaint72

it will still have benefits :)

  • Loved the video very informative and your energy is awesome could seriously listen to you talk about anything your knowledge and wisdom is incredible. Keep bringing us the easy and yet incredibly detoxifying recipes and other health info. Peace and God Bless.

  • Fantastic information Markus... thanks as always!!

  • Thank you for all you share Markus. I so appreciate that suggest foods that can be found right in our own backyards, nearby or purchased at minimum cost. Love your energy and passion. Many Blessings.Liliane

  • Can I drink this being pregnant?

  • @CarrollsKitchen

No- do not take this while pregnant- this cleans you out so well it can also clean you out down there

  • Great stuff Markus. Can't wait to try it. All I have to do is find an Asian market. In case it is not labeled as "licorice root" are their any other names that we can look for/ask for that are in the native tongue? Also, when you say "Asian" is it in all of these types of stores or should we look primarily in Korean, Vietnamese or Chinese markets? thanks for bringing this information. I hope you know how much it is appreciated.

  • @donsgal

Licorice root is also called "Radix Glycyrrhizae". As for "Asian" markets, Chinese stores seem to have more herbs but any kind of asian market including Thai, Philippino, Vietnamese etc all have the cool exotic fruits etc

  • @MarkusRothkranz Hi!!! I loved your video. THANK YOU so so much for sharing! God BLESS yoU! I have one question for you. You never mentioned how much of each herb (the quantity of each) to put into the pot. It was hard to tell how much you were putting in it. Or does it not matter how much of each you need?

  • @Nicolette2929

Go by whatever feels right for you. I'd say 40 percent pine 40 percent rosemary and 20 percent licorice, which is pretty strong. It might be too sweet if you have too much licorice

  • @MarkusRothkranz Hi again Markus, I forgot to ask, is there any limit as to how often one can drink this tea?

I just made me a batch and it is awesome! I am so excited about the results and nutrition it brings! Thank you!

  • Is that raw vegan? When we bring the water to boil, doesn't it kill the nutrients?

  • @RenataRath1983

Some yes, some no. Certain oils don't get released without heat while other volatile compounds do. Pine needles, rosemary needles and root wood is very very tough to break down and extract the goodness. If you let it soak overnight and steep in 115 degree water, it helps somewhat, but if you let it sit too long in stagnant water, it creates mold, so a quick heating is a safe way to break through the toughness. I say just barely bring to boil, then turn off the heat.

  • Markus, this is brilliant and now shared on my Facebook and Twitter sites! Thank you for sharing this info with everyone!

  • Hi Markus, Thanks for this great video. Question, did I hear you say rosemary is good for low blood pressure? Or did you say it's good to lower blood pressure? Thanks.

  • @Giftering

Rosemary is a stimulant- it gets things going- so its good for people with low blood pressure

  • @MarkusRothkranz Thanks, again. Just to clarify about this tea being good for low blood pressure. Does this mean it is not good for people with high blood pressure. Thanks, Markus, you are amazing and I am

always recommending you and your videos.

  • how much of each should you use and how often can/should drink the tea?

  • @yohkom as much as you want

  • I'm really excited to try the pine needles and rosemary, A couple questions about the licorice root. 1. I'm "estrogen dominant" and much confused about eating phytoestrogens. 2. How do you know the quality (organic, etc.) of food (licorice root, etc.) purchased in Asian markets?

My family loves your FREE FOOD AND MEDICINE DVDs. We had a blast last summer foraging. Thanks Markus

  • @vivthetartan This tea is perfect for you! Plant phytoestrogens exert a weak estrogenic effect 200-400X weaker than the estrogens produced by the body. This regulates the estrogen by locking up estrogen receptors preventing the stronger estrogens from messing us up. Licorice helps do this, along with rebuilding the adrenals which produce hormones(stress kills adrenals) Adrenals use vit C more than any other body part & pine needles have 300X more vit C than citrus.

  • @MarkusRothkranz

Estrogen dominant people usually have clogged livers and colon because the liver breaks down excess estrogens and the colon flora breaks down the metabolites. Stop stimulants, hormone creams & clean your body as explained in my book

  • @MarkusRothkranz

as for your concern about asian herbs- I wouldn't worry as much about roots, its the stuff above the ground (berries, leaves etc) that might be in question. If you're really worried, just grow your own licorice, it's not difficult.

  • @MarkusRothkranz Hi Markus, In reading here, what is the name of your book you mentioned, or any other books you have out. Do you have any other videos as well? Thank you! <3

  • @MarkusRothkranz VIelen Dank for your generous reply to my questions. I'll be foraging for pine needles, buying a rosemary plant and heading to Asia Mart for licorice root! Thank you for your genuine desire to help people get and stay well.

  • love your vid markus! i just posted it to my fb page and wish i hadn't spent 50. on the white msm plant based crystals!

  • I'm Native American, and the Pine Tea is something I was taught growing up. It's something the Native American's have done for always. :-)

  • that was awesome i'm going to try this today!

  • Okay....I started taking MSM because Markus recommended it in his Heal Your Face book and now in this video he is saying to eat pine needles instead, that MSM really isn't that good for you (how it is made), what gives?

  • @schoonma5 We all need sulfur and I originally took lots of the white powder like everyone else, but now I'm looking for better ways to get it- obviously anything directly from nature is better than a plastic bottle. I never noticed any bad side effects from the powder, (actually no effects at all), but the natural source felt immediate great effects. We definitely need sulfur. Great sources are garlic, onions, peppers, etc, but pine needles are FREE, no plastic bottles :)

  • Could you make this tea and sit it in the sun rather than use the stove? If so, how long does it need to infuse?

  • @majesticpondlily I wouldn't think so. And I certainly wouldn't try it. You need the extreme heat of boiling it, to break down the oils in the pine needles, rosemary and licorice root as well. I fine that shredding the licorice root is easier and helps it to break down faster while boiling it. You want to scrub the licorice root with a veggie brush cause it is full of dirt you wouldn't notice until you get it over water. Good Luck!

  • I'll try it right now!

Having a pine tree in our garden, rosmary also.

So I'll grab my bike and get some licorice :)

  • Very nice video!

  • awesome!

  • This guy is amazing. I love the videos that he does.

  • Thank you so much for making this! Look forward to learning more

    from you!

  • thanks Markus, excellent video presentation and content! shared with friends on FB, thanks my friend :) keep up being the bright light u are <3

  • Dankeschoen Markus, very good video. Have a nice day.

  • imso excited to try this . will any kind of pine needles work? thank you!

  • do i have to make a tea? no smoothie allowed?

  • Thank you for sharing this video Markus

  • so any pine tree? I think we have some pine trees here on the Garden Island.

  • Can it be any type of pine tree Markus? I have a fair sized evergreen growing outside my home but I am not sure what variety it is. Great Video!

  • @sejackson45 Go for it. I've never heard of a poisonous pine tree.

  • good info thanks

  • Great video Thanks! Looking forward to more Markus!
