  • Cool;]

  • too bad he hasnt done anything in two years of college

  • This kid got drafted by the red sox and turned them down. My dad knows his dad. He's amazing his swing is great!

  • better swing than harpers

  • better swing than harper

  • the reason these hitters are so strong is because most of them play other sports, such as football, so they work out alot. And they also turn on the ball and crush it, watch their shoulders square up to the pitcher

  • it doesnt matter what kind of bat he had its his swing that produces the homeruns that we all so badly want

  • what kind of bat does this guy have?does anybody know?

  • denmarini f3

  • demarini cf3

  • this kid has an arod like swing

  • Vanderbilt's finest, Matt "The Immortal" Marquis

  • look at Cael Brockmeyer. he doesn hit like this kid but hes only a junior, we play on the same aau team, Cael can rake too

  • he has one of the best swings i have ever seen, it's effortless. I wish my swing looked like that.

  • It's not hard to fix your swing..change it up. My swing used to look like Brett Gardner's. Now it looks exactly like this guy. It's quite easy, just start slow on a batting tee and increase speed every day. Keep your front shoulder closed until you feel it in your back(through the hips). Keep it nice and steady with proper weight shifting. Eventually your muscles will memorize the actions and that's it. =]

  • hes pretty good, he hit me in the face with a dodgeball once in gym class, and broke my glasses...

  • matt is the best hitter ive ever seeb=nand has a monster arm he should gi ti vandy and develop more! whichwill be a scary how good he could be!

  • if this guy signs with Boston he will be the next Manny or Ortiz of that team, look at how good Boston has made there draft picks

  • I hope the Red Sox make a serious run after this kid, he can flat-out rake.

  • Come to the Red Sox! You couldn't have a better situation. Just look at what they've done with all their draft picks recently! Congrats on getting drafted.

  • hells yeah, we got him now. He's comin to VANDY!!!

  • proud to be a Dore!

  • this kid can rake

  • Shit he is good what round is gonna go in?

  • I see him going in the first three rounds depending upon signability.

  • this guy is tight, i see himall the time hes amazing

  • damn this kid is amazing

  • wogdoggy, you are absolutely correct about the importance of converting to wood and about the ability to take BP into a game. I scouted this kid at both of the major national high school wood bat tournaments last Summer and Fall (Marietta and Jupiter). This kid hit over .500 with 6 HR's and 27 RBI against some of the best teams in the country over 54 AB's.

The kid's got great hands and terrific balance which is the key to his hitting.

  • he's so goooooooooood. and he goes to my school

  • ye i struck this kid out. he's a hoss thou. saw him in a hr derby in aabc world series in NJ, never seen a ball hit so effortlessly and gone so far.

  • I remember training that kid at HealthQuest in New Jersey a few years ago. He's defintely gonna be in the majors very soon.

  • rmemeber game situations vs home run derby are like nigh and day...also a wood bat changes his perfomance

  • wogdoggy, you are absolutely correct about both wood bats and game conditions. I scouted this kid at the two major wood bat events of the 2007 summer season. He hit .527 with 6 HR's and 26 RBI off some of the best pitchers in the country. He passes both of your tests.

  • awesome,,great to hear the kids got real talent!!!!

  • You are correct about wood bats and game performances. I scouted this kid at both major national wood bat tourneys in 2007 (Marietta and Jupiter). All he did under game conditions against some of the best pitchers in the country was hit over .500 with 6 hr's and 27 RBI! Notice that in this particular competition he hit many more Hr's with wood than any other competitor. And there were some great players in attendence.

  • What a swing!! Looks like a major leaguer.
