Thank you swamiji for this insight.I havent been meditating long enough or deep enough to hear the sound of "OM" but i did see a vision of an eye one time in meditation,it appeared for only a few seconds.Joy to you
You might google "Ananda Course in Self-Realization - Part 1
Lessons in Meditation." You can learn the meditation techniques that Swami Kriyananda practices, teaches and learned from Paramhansa Yogananda. The author of this lesson is Jyotish Novac, who has studied with Kriyananda for decades.
I love this kind of deep reading of layers of meaning in sacred texts. Many great texts can be read this way. Like the Book of Sirach in the Catholic Bible, for instance. It must be my favorite Bible section, because over the years I've read it more than any other. Every time I read it I see a new layer of mystical meaning. Great sacred and artistic works are like this -- layers within layers of great meaning, like ever-changing wondrous colors in a kaleidoscope.
I have found that these deep layers of meaning are not limited to sacred texts. When I am in the right state of being, I often receive deep insights from some pretty profane sources. Belive it or not, but I sometimes even receive spritual insights from stupid television sitcoms. The Universe is Awesome!
