The Umehara person is good the Nakarone guy is terrible, makes too many mistakes. I can beat him without losing a character. But the Umehara guy was good.
Just because the guy is playing a tournament doesn't make him one of the best player. There are millions of people who play video games but aren't interested in tournament settings nor do they have the time for it yet are great gamers wouldn't you say? Or is that impossible? However, since from my understanding these tournament competitions play using arcade controller which i've never played with before so then i'd lose. But using console controller i don't lose.

2. His Sagat is unbelievable. Great pressure, great footsies, great reactions, great.... everything. Sagat is arguably the best character in the game, and giving you the benefit of the doubt, you would lose 2 character against his Sagat.
Also, his Ryu is pretty damn good IMO. Execution screw ups that he probably has under control now...
i used to be good with sagat but i haven't played him in a while. I main Zangief. I never played anyone better than me with zangief because zangief can catch you in air and 360 you with the right timing. I'm also very good with Akuma/Gouku followed by E.Honda who's a powerhouse like Sagat and Zangief. Sagat i wouldn't say is the best but he's got good combo into supers. But i don't play much anymore so today i'd probably get killed by that guy.
@micalbaniWhat game are you playing? Ryo top tier? lol... the only SNK character worth picking is Hibiki, with the exception of Kyo and Iori. There's a reason why not very many people played with SNK characters in tournament. I have 98'..and that game isn't even close to this one.
@SkyeChantavorn Some of the best Street Fighter players haven't played many SNK games, and vice versa. So perhaps they don't know how to use the SNK characters.
sagat is the cheapest character in the game in my opinion. All the comp does is spam his tiger hadoken thing high and low and all u can do it take it or try to dodge but then he comes in with a grab or another hit. If you try to jump over it u get socked in the face with his tiger uppercut. So inbalanced.

Yeah. This game can get pretty technical. You just gotta know what each groove does and how to apply it against your opponent. like short hopping and rolling. running has advantages too
Watching this made me so nostalgic... is it just me or the music and the overall sound effects/voices in this game are just amazing? Miss the Dreamcast times... This was the last 2D fighter CAPCOM made from scratch, maybe that's why it's so good.
@TranceCore3 guile isnt up in the tier list because he has no roll cancel abuse moves. Bison and Blanka have a special move that moves them across the screen and hits, and if you do a proper roll cancel, any roll canceled move becomes invincible.
In short
You pyscho crusher or sonic the hedgehog across the screen and go through ALL OF YOUR OPPONENTS FIREBALLS, JABS, KICKS, AND ANY OTHER CHANCE IN HELL THEY HAVE.
Thats why those two are top tier. Roll cancel shenanins.
@JackReyer BTW, fun fact, C- sakura is actually the fourth best character in the game. Roll cancelled Shoryu causes some mega havoc due to the forward movement. Not quite as good as the other two, but still pretty damn good.
@TranceCore3 Last time I checked C-groove sak is outclassed by A-groove sak by a LONG shot. A-groove sak has sho-sho-sho, which even on block will guard break almost the whole cast, same with a-groove bison's paint the fence. I won't get into other crazy/troll worthy A-Groove's like Ken/blanka but even C-groove sagat outclasses C-groove sak, and then k-groove sagat. And if you're really pro, play p-groove sagat, in which case you don't need custom combos or just defend.
I think the best SNK characters on the game are King/Haouhmaru/Kim & Joe..as a matter a fact Joe can be unbeatable if in the right hands. I think SNK side is weaker thoug, its a shame cause im a fan of both sides not just one.
I like Kyo/Kim & Vice from SNK & Dan/Morrigan & Vega from Capcom. I wish Leona was in the game, oh well but yeah I think SNK is dumb down after all Cap did develope this game both times.
I swear, the only character Daigo seems to stomp any ass with in this game is Ryu. I haven't any idea why you guys praise him so much. Not to mention Daigo lost at the end of this match set anyway... :/

@CydonianKnights11 Generaly you put your lvl 2 character last. so hes already stronger. but you also save the best for last because your hoping he doesn't have to take out two or 3 characters. you don't want to weaken your strongest character. you also want to have the character your best at on standby for crunch time. If you dont know how to play someone as well as others in crunch time they'll crumble easier

@Geadom A groove is not realy the best. the safest ones to use is either C groove or N Groove. a groove is for realy experienced players, and most of the time they don't win tourneys.

A-Groove has been the dominant groove since 2002-03. Before that (2001) N-Groove was the best groove (as seen on this video)
capcom vs snk its agood game because you can play kof with street fighter caracters XD thats why daigo lost, kof its a very diferent game there are more players of kof than street fighter until street fighter 4 came out :)
@Geadom they all have their advantages though....The N groove is a favorite because of the stored supers but the K groove can build quickly AND do amazing damage with the right characters. Nobody could complain about CvS2 not being balanced :P

@Geadom u been watching too many combo vids. Just because sakura,bison and vega are great doesn't mean that A-groove is beneficial to every character. Just check the tourney vids and see how many A-groove teams don't have the characters I just mentioned...

@nazeres1 its one of the best grooves. you can save up to 3 bars, each bar can be used as a super or powerup, if your powerd up the super is lvl 3...so u can do like...

@supergod58 it's not that hard.. you actually have to do the input of the super while you hit the cr.sk (hit the cr.sk at the same time that you do the hcb, then hcb+kick).. the timming is not that restrict, so you have some frames to do the super.
@supergod58 Hmm.. you have to do exactly like I told you, press down+medium kick and immediately do the hurricane kick. I think that you're pressing the kick button from the HK too soon, or doing too slow. Anyway, just try to do the QCB (Quarter Circle Backwards) before the hit animation from the medium kick ends (btw, do the motion, but don't press the kick button yet), then do another QCB+K and there you go. I hope that this is going to help you
@Maruceroooo ok, i could only do it a few times and thinks. But whenever i medium kick and as quickly as possible like down medium kick (quick Right or left), it forms a senpukkayaku and i can't use the hurricane kick.
@supergod58 what do you mean by "do you know how to do it"?! of course I do, if I didn't i wasn't writing all that to you... anyway, i gave to you all the explanation necessary to do the combo, just practice more and figure it out how to do it in your own way. Try it sometimes slower or faster, put the "input option" (in practice mode) ON and see what you're doing wrong. C'mon dude, this isn't that hard!!!
I actually enjoy using the SnK side for this game Terry and Iori are pretty damn awesome and its a welcome change after playing so much Street Fighter. It makes me want to get some King of Fighters games

i used to be good with sagat but i haven't played him in a while. I main Zangief. I never played anyone better than me with zangief because zangief can catch you in air and 360 you with the right timing. capcom vs snk its agood game because you can play kof with street fighter caracters XD thats why daigo lost, kof its a very diferent game there are more players of kof than street fighter until street fighter 4 came out :)

@Geadom they all have their advantages though....The N groove is a favorite because of the stored supers but the K groove can build quickly AND do amazing damage with the right characters. Nobody could complain about CvS2 not being balanced :P

@Geadom u been watching too many combo vids. Just because sakura,bison and vega are great doesn't mean that A-groove is beneficial to every character. Just check the tourney vids and see how many A-groove teams don't have the characters I just mentioned...

@nazeres1 its one of the best grooves. you can save up to 3 bars, each bar can be used as a super or powerup, if your powerd up the super is lvl 3...so u can do like...
lvl 3 super into lvl 1 super combo.

@wizeladamska I honestly don't see what that has to do with anything. There are still people who associate playing video games = no social life. Everyone plays video games now, it isn't a niche thing anymore. Daigo has played a lot of different fighting games over the years, but I am sure he still has a life of his own.

@supergod58 it's not that hard.. you actually have to do the input of the super while you hit the cr.sk (hit the cr.sk at the same time that you do the hcb, then hcb+kick).. the timming is not that restrict, so you have some frames to do the super.

@supergod58 cr.sk= crouching strong kick (or medium kick) and hcb= half circle backward ( same motion as tatsumaki senpukkyaku or hurricane kick).

@supergod58 Hmm.. you have to do exactly like I told you, press down+medium kick and immediately do the hurricane kick. I think that you're pressing the kick button from the HK too soon, or doing too slow. Anyway, just try to do the QCB (Quarter Circle Backwards) before the hit animation from the medium kick ends (btw, do the motion, but don't press the kick button yet), then do another QCB+K and there you go. I hope that this is going to help you

@Maruceroooo ok, i could only do it a few times and thinks. But whenever i medium kick and as quickly as possible like down medium kick (quick Right or left), it forms a senpukkayaku and i can't use the hurricane kick.

@supergod58 what do you mean by "do you know how to do it"?! of course I do, if I didn't i wasn't writing all that to you... anyway, i gave to you all the explanation necessary to do the combo, just practice more and figure it out how to do it in your own way. Try it sometimes slower or faster, put the "input option" (in practice mode) ON and see what you're doing wrong. C'mon dude, this isn't that hard!!!

I actually enjoy using the SnK side for this game Terry and Iori are pretty damn awesome and its a welcome change after playing so much Street Fighter. It makes me want to get some King of Fighters games
