Hey man, nice video, I have a penn senator 113h, what size sharks do you think I would be able to catch on it? I have seen on the internet that for 6, 7 or 8 footers I would need something bigger, but when I ask people in real life they say that it would be fine. Whats your view on this, you seem to have a lot of experience with shark fishing?
I am not worried about it. I have never seen one show aggression towards an angler and I have never heard of it. I have heard of them biting scuba divers, but that's a different story.
It depends on the shark species. You probably won't land a 6ft blacktip with that reel, but you will land a 6 nurse, bull, leopard shark, and others. I would recommend purchasing the 950ssm.
yes shark210, but there are good shark attack videos on the net too. My favorite is the likesharks site. They have attack, research, diving encounter videos, and they have info on each shark species! Type likesharks into google and its the first result
I saw a red what looked like 7 foot sun burned person waving at me while camping I saw it for one second. Now that I see Thr Color it had to be a nurse top feeding ! I almost swam out to rescue her! That would not have worked out to well. Where was this it looks exactly like my spot?!
for all those ppl that dont noe this..... whenever they catch a sharka ll they do is take a picture with it then measure it then remove the hook and set it free jeez
Hey mate! What rod were you using in that video?
VenomAngler 1 day ago
@VenomAngler
I have no idea, it's an old rod. I would recommend using a newer rod.
BlacktipH 20 hours ago
@BlacktipH That's exactly why I asked =P I like old stuff =)

You can catch an 8ft shark on that. Put 500yds of 65lb braid and fill the rest of the spool with 80lb mono.

that rod is to light for that reel

how much money do you need to invest to be able to catch a 9ft shark

@wolfblade60111
If you want to catch a 9ft Bull, your going to need an 80w or 14/0. Probably $500 or more.

@BlacktipH Is there a way to get your bait out there to the sharks without using a kayak?

when you said "what is it gonna do bite me?" nurse sharks are known to bite when it is harassed or in danger.
