  • how much did all this cost you to make?? This is pretty badass!

    GO TEXANS!!

  • @botellos7 I think I have about 400 with battery all together

  • not sure if you commented on this yet but how did you get the leds to light up with sound? Very nice by the way

  • Nice clean job.

  • where can you get the plating to cover the handles on the side. i have made 2 that are waterproof and im thinking about using a solar panel to help keep the battery charged.

  • thats one badass cooler bro, much props. im making a similar one for the river next month. just had a question or 2. just curious how you hooked up the ipod to the speakers without the headunit, and the blue box flashing inside the cooler, is that for the lights to flash to the music? and the black box on the front inner wall that flashes red and green led's, just curious as to what thats for. hope to hear from you soon, and again, great job

  • holy freaking crap dude this the flawliss the best thing cooler radio ive seen plus im a big texan fan thats bad ass haha so how did u get the lights to go witht the music and how much does that thing cost i made one and people freak out where i take it got two 6 by 6s and a competition 10inc speakers souds really good but the lights justput it over the top thats awsome bro great job

  • Bad ass roller cooler!!!

  • Have u had any problems with amp overheating? Also I have been toying with the idea of making mine with a fiberglass top using 6x9s so it won't have a sub. How does your sub hold up? I just don't know if it will make a big difference Not using a sub. Any overheating and what's the most hrs you have gotten before battery diead?

  • @arsan1972 Yes, in the beginning I had a lil overheating problems. It would run for about 2 hrs then cut out. Since the video I have installed two 3 inch computer fans directly on the amp. I cut two holes in the bottom of the amp and have one pushing air and one pulling air through it. Its stays around 118degs which not bad at all. My Sub does really good. Alot of people said it wouldnt sound good but I guess they just didnt know how to do it. I have ran it for over 6hrs with no problem!!!

  • Hey man that cooler is the shit...great job on the wiring and toggle switches......did you use any websites to get you going on this? Im looking for references.

  • @voodooart1 Thank you! No, I just seen a couple coolers on youtube and then did everything else myself. I just ordered the sound to light module from Koolertek com.

I have a guy i work with that owns a computer controlled plasma cutter to make my logo. The lights i bought a auto supply.

  • Great job! that is one nice cooler

  • Thank you!

  • That just looks amazing buddy. I'm upgrading my current cooler radio and I use a Pioneer head unit to produce the sound. I don't see a head unit in your setup. I want to add the LEDs to my new setup. What did you use to make the LEDs blink to the bass notes and can you link me to a website? Can I make this add on with a head unit?

  • let me know when you start making them i'm intrested in buying one from you even if its just everything minus the speakers, radio, n amp i'll buy that myself

  • damn good looking cooler wondering if that is your personal cooler or are you selling them... very interested in one just like that one...

  • Hey, thanks! This one is my personal but later I will start building them. I have about 400 bucks in this one and need to do it where the material cost is down. This was my first so it always takes trial and error.

  • AWESOME JOB, what did you use to get the aluminum to look like that?

  • @rubiconeater I used a 90 deg grinder with a scotch-brite sanding wheel. I just wised it back and forth to make the pattern.

  • Nice work! the switch plate in the back is excellent. I've made 3 cooler radios, each bigger and louder than the last, and I'm looking to do another. I love the cube style cooler you used, but what did you float it on? I'm concerned about it sitting correctly on a tube.

  • @Musaffa1 Hey, I bought a big rig tube 12.50-20 and I cut out a 18in circle out of a piece of plywood. I drilled eight holes all around the edges then laced rope all around the tube. With the weight of the battery in the cooler it set in the tube perfect and went down the river over the falls with no prob. It did better then other people in tubes.

  • way to go like your work + TEXANS

  • Thank you!!! its alot of fun!!

  • Awesome

  • Your work looks A+++. Nice wire bundles and the light show was cool. The switch panel looks factory. Too bad it doesn't hold any beer, but they do make other coolers for that.

  • LED strobes. I think my cooler light show just owned.

I like the Texans metalwork, but I'm from Houston so I might be a little biased.

  • Bravo! Great job. I am building one my self. I'll post a vid when I get done with it. I have some pics up on Flickr, my username is "aggieneer2006" check it out. I like the lights! Any overheating problems?
