I saw his high school highlights before he came to Kentucky and although I thought he was an amazing player, I didn't think he was capable of doing the same things in d1. I was proven wrong. The only true difference between a one and done player is pure talent and the potential of that talent. Some have it...some don't. I don't understand why people want to hate on a player that is obviously incredibly gifted...just because he does things differently than your average four year student athlete. John Wall was one of the many greats to come along in the past 20 years. It'll be a while before we see another player like that in a Wildcat uniform.

As far as John Wall and all other one and dones go...we should be thankful they get the one year of college. Prior to the rule change, they didn't even get that. Some (not all) of these types of players come from a poor background. I'm thankful that they at least get the year, although I'd like to see them stay for two years. If they remain close; come back to the university to embrace it and finish their degree, it's really no different than any other student athlete or student for that matter.

Tim, you're a great editor. I've said it before but your videos are killer. I know a lot of the college basketball 'purists' hate on Kentucky, Calipari and the 'one and dones' but I feel a little differently about all of them. Kentucky is the greatest men's college basketball program in America. Calipari is a fantastic recruiter and a pretty good coach. He's also a nice guy. I don't get all the hatred for him. I believe a lot of it is unjust and a strong, undeniable media bias/personal vendetta.

Will not see a John Wall again soon. Though some great ones are coming in, he will always stand out as the greatest UK point guard I have seen in 40 years...I hate the music on the first part!!! Ugh...more AC/DC, less record scratchin'!
