  • MOUNTAINS OF THE MOON is the greatest adventure film ever made that almost no one has seen. Almost ignored in its time, it is rarely seen today. That is a great pity because it actually deserves to be compared to LAWRENCE OF ARABIA. Bob Rafelson did a remarkable job directing it, which is surprising in view of his other credits. Seek it out an you will be well rewarded for the effort!
