Never worked on my first pc. Then after 5 years I was finally able to enjoy it. Before that I could only marvel at it when I was at friends.

Wish there was a remake. A good one, nothing like Lost Planet. Those over the top mechas from Shogo were a lot more fun. :)

@tranceotaku you can... it's extremely cheap on ebay (though people here seem to have trouble getting it running so not sure about that). Or it's 5.99 on goodoldgames (gog.com) which will run on xp/7. $6

this game deserves the love. Its just such a beautiful mix of unique atmosphere, vocals, humor, fx, big-ass guns and crappy graphics :D I still play it from time to time.

I miss this game now...you kinda neglected the fact that you can pie corners of walls on this game and take cover rather than just strafing and trying to get the first shot on your enemy so they flinch. Those two strategies combined make it very simple as you only have to engage one enemy at a time then move slightly further around the corner to find the next target but be behind it to other enemies

in other shooters you first look around a corner and then shoot. In shogo you have no time for looking first, you have to shoot immediately

most old school shooters are about circle strafing and quick shooting ;p its the new stuff thats slowed down quite a bit, shogos one of the end of the era type ones though.

Yeah, I actually tried a couple of times, but none of my computes had the horse power for the editor. I would have loved to have made usable tanks for mech or squishy mode. This is truly the last of the great innovative FPS games.

I have the CD for shogo, but the game doesn't work on my Vista, and it rarely worked on my xp. I remember playing this game back in 98, it was 1 of my favs back in the day.

The Music is also Epic. Best Music in any game, to get it to work just go to the Shogo launcher in its home folder right click properties, then you change compatibility to windows 98/ME. Even if u have vista or XP or 2000.

maaan i loved this game actually back around this time my uncle had built 7 computers and we had them all networked through the house so me and my brothers and uncles would host online and play all the foreign people and just dominate and we'd play locals of course too.. Nostalgia is great.. this along with the original Delta Force = EPIC.

Buy the game and download a old CD image of it since it's like Warcraft 3's new CD's can't play the games...

I had the big package and I was like AWESOME when I found it.

But when I was gonna install my precious game it didn't work... So i had to find a cd image.

The best thing is that this game can run in Vooodoo2 SLI :D good times.

It works like a charm. :) You only have to install a patch for the in-game music. I'm playing the game now (on Vista), bringing my memories back to life. And also, cool look-back. :)
