If the general public doesn't judge them, who will?
Welcome to America. As a citizen, I and every other American have every right to judge our leaders. If you feel mortally offended, it isn't my problem, deal.
you gotta keep in mind that obama was being accused of being a muslim. while this should NOT be a problem, there are many bigots in america who would turn away from obama just because of this. obama had to take the chance to prove hes christian because hes been smeared and basically people are trying to imply that hes a terrorist sympathizer by POSSIBLY (untrue) being muslim. sad, but its a necessary evil. obama is no idealist, he knows when hes got no choice but to play the game.
I hear you,MO,but they do it because they have to to get elected.
Does not make it right, but, like lobby funding and the Electoral College,'tis reality.
You either have to look past it,find patters that hopefully indicate honest beliefs, and make the best, most informed decision you can before you vote,or sit out evry election.
As they answered nervously, I kept thinking about a clip I saw of Tony Blair where he was saying something about "people of every faith" and where he included "people of none" or "people of no faith." I forget the exact wording, but it was hard for me to imagine an American president being that inclusive.
it's not your place to judge them

Hey Stephen! It's Adam, from TOHS, just so you know. Good question and all, and good analysis.
