Hi, yes this would suit a rookie for sure. Nothing hard about setting up and using this still and the results at the finish really are well worth the price.

These are a great still.

I have been brewing for years and just recently purchased this still and was very impressed with the results.

I had been using a tall column and thought I would never look back until the new T500 was out!
