I wish a whole portal game was outside, like based in a city. It would be a free roam game, and I know it would take extreme amount of work to make and succeed but it would be amazing. Being able to portal yourself inside any room in any building in the city, of course there would need to be quests that you follow to continue the story and a ton of side quests so there's a point in roaming the city. It's almost like when I dreamed Mirrors Edge was open world game.

You open the console with the button on the left side of number 1 (not on the numpad.) At least, I had to do that... if it works for you, then I'm not sure. If you mean that it wont WORK, then go to Options, then keyboard, click advanced and tick "Enable Developer Console". If you don't know what button to use after that and you tried my first idea, then change the console button to C or something like that. Hope I helped.

@dijl12328 it's easy at a little room before the way to glados you must shoot 2 portals in a corner ,that corner is glitched then one portal is outside the map,then oyu only need to be careful to shoot another portal without falling down and then you have to search the room with the cake and cubus there you have to shoot a portal on the ground and while you are jumping in you have to shoot same portal

@manderman101 this is because the scenes in valve's games aren't pre-rendered... the scene at the end when you're thrown out with glados parts actually HAPPEN when you see it in screen, this is not a video ending. They create maps somewhere, then put the character in it with the camera they want. If you want to freely access those areas, you have to noclip. :)
