what is the specific name of the lowering device that you are using in the video. i made one out of steel pipe. it looks exactly like yours that you have in the video. i have never seen someone handle this job so good. you are the best. you have some great people working with you. good luck.
@ipookie87 , the rope is 1/2" true blue.. its not the size that counts, as much as the dynamic property of the rope. The stretch in the rope is a very important factor in minimizing shock loads. I would not be taking such big pieces with double braid, which many mistakenly prefer for its superior strength. The stretch and resistance to abrasion of true blue makes it a far better lowering line. If you need to take the stretch out of the line, you can with good ground work.
