@elafalla The Invincible wasn't hit - this was just rubbish spouted at the time by the argentinian media - Like there reports of 900 British soldiers being killed on the 28th may attacks on ships in harbour.

HMS Invincible Sailed right up the Thames into London immediately after sailing back from the Falklands - theres plenty of video footage of its return around - and none of that footage shows any evidence of battle damage what-so-ever.

Most ot the planes they used were old Sky hawks with no navigation systems and very obsolete avionics, they were no match for the new sea harrier. 2nd the British planes were better armed, with superior weapons, like heat seaker missiles and cluster bombs. Argentine planes were armed with air to air old missiles and regular bombs. The mirages planes never really fought.

@NicolazDamian No British planes were shot down in air to air combat. Several were lost due to accidents+ground fire. Too many men died, all fought bravely regardless of which side they were on. Both govs seemed to go into this conflict with 're-election' and 'voters' on their mind rather than what ws right. It was a conflict that shouldnt have happened but did happen.
