Things like that happen in localizations because a 1:1 translation of the original Japanese would sound horrible.

Perfect, but the only thing that should be changed is "Patch-work matryoshka" to "Patched-up Matryoshka" Or "Crazy Patched-up Matryoshka." Lyrically they can all be sung the same, but they just give a better vibe to the original with the phrasing that way.

So like "Just one Patched-up crazy matryoshka" or

"Just one Crazy Patched-up Matryoshka"

This way it reflects the carved dolls better that the song is based on, and not more towards a quilt.

Still badass either way though.
