Thank you for your video. I have a big problem with TH in words. In my language we do not have this sound so it is very difficult for me to say it. But I will try to transcribe videos as you said :)
I tried news viedos on youtube before I saw your's.
Unfortunately the pronunciation of journalists are NOT so clear and slow like you did. Sometimes it seems that they swallow some words. Repeat what they have said (again and again) and you will confirm this. ;-)
Therfore it is almost impossible to understand the news (the exception proves the rule).
I'm Mexican. I'm Engineer and I need to speak English if a want a better job. Let me say I watch the News on English, sing English songs, and another things.
I'll take your tips..
By the way, I understood almost all the words you said. ;)
sir, i am an indian girl. my native language is tamil but we are studying english in my college.. i wants to improve my skills. so send more tips for my improvement....
After watching your video, i realized that i didnt do the last thing u mentioned in this video, i didnt pratice english frequently, but from now on, i will. :) Thank you for many useful advices. Have a good day ,sir!
Hi! My name is Ciro,i'm52 years old and i've been studying English for four English...I studed to British Council of Napoli, where I was born and nowday i live, and others schools! But I studed many grammar rules but now i need to make conversation and practice with someone ad this's my problem, to find someone wants to talk with me...O.! I think to have been clear..
Listen me, trying looking for assimil course if you need to start understand what they say, you can donwload it on web or on emule, after practiting that couse you'll be able to understand, not well but you'll be able to start following native conversations.
After that start with american cartoon and after keeping on with TV series, Don't give up, ok!!!
i am a student your's video is very very comprehensive informative. i as will as rest of the peoples who's take the tour of your video get a lot of guideline to improve there English. thank you soooooooooo much.
Thank you so much for this video, Rohan!!! I'm an English teacher from Caracas, Venezuela, and I'm planning to use these techniques to help my students improve their English. I'll sure search for more of your videos. Cheers!!!
Some people say, we need two or three person to pracitce pronunciation. But, your way is emphasize on self study, I mean single one. I like that type of way.
hey !! the old man xP I always pay attention to every single word comes out from ya mouth :) I understand whatever u say so..thats mean I can improve my pron right? :)
I also suggest local weather reports - they have local slangs, are less scripted and have maps of the local area. Regarding the connection between listening and creating the correct sound; it' doesn't work for everyone. Being socialized in a particular language we learn how to create and distinguish sounds. Not everyone is able to do this in a second language; it's like learning music. I think having a coach in the native language to give tips helps a lot. Jennifer Kumar, Cross-Cultural Coach
