@Shaybug110 Nothing is wrong with this 'chick', it's her style of music, like every other artist in the world. She sings with such a unique voice which is almost incomparable to any other artist. This is why her music is so appealing to Regina's audience.
I'm not a superfan of Fidelity (although I do have a place in my heart for it because the lyrics completely describe my life) and it always makes me sad that people are missing so much. Same with the people who only listen to Laughing With or Eet, although I love those too.
I don't mean to be all hipster or anything. I mean, I found Regina because of Narnia, so really. I just wish people could listen beyond one song.
Is Fidelity her most popular song? Hm. ... Its a lovely song, but I wouldn't pick it out as her best. Not by a long way. Not even the best on that album. (And its not her best album).
I kind of get why this hasn't seen the light of day anywhere else, as some of the lyrics could use a little refining (mainly the V.I.P sticker part), but everything about this is so phenomenal and has so much potential to be a Regina Spektor song of epic proportions....even the minced meat part can stay...it's hilarious and cute...pure Regina. :o)
I've had people tell me that Regina Spektor, Vampire Weekend, and other similar bands aren't music while they love what's on the radio...It's sad what people consider good music now and what music has become to the artists themselves...I wish every artist could be like Regina; she's in music for the love of it and that's what makes her music so amazing and moving and this song is a perfect example of that! Regina forever <3
Well, i was listening to Mika ( i think? xD ) when in the sidebar i saw fidelity, i clicked on it ans fell in love ;D but it is definitly not one of her best songs! my favorites are : be like a cloud, mermaid, happy hooker,8th floor,BYOS and this one is also great but every week i have a new favorite.. ;$
Yeah, but it sounds most like a market making song. And I have to admit, without hearing Fidelity first a few years ago, I wouldnt have ventured to find more of her other music. I dont mind when people only listen to that song because then theres less jerks and posers listening to her music. Hah x] It would be nice to hear something from her other than Fidelity and Better "on the radio." (Hah, did you see what I pulled right there?) But this song is my favorite of her! Go Regina. :]
same here. i told my friend to listen to a whole list of songs by her, and fidelity was thrown in there, and he only listened to fidelity, and came back and said, "too pop for me." rtlkhjmaqyjait.
@milliology I did, he ended up listening to Apres Moi and Consequence of Sound. He liked them, I think...XD He wanted to "analyze" Consequence of Sound for our English class, so I think it's good he remembered the name, XD
@KaijaSvenson Ah, I ESPECIALLY love those two songs...
You know, I wasn't ever really that taken by Fidelity, though On The Radio...man I loved that, I had one line stuck in my head for an entire year. I'm so glad I listened to her other music, because most of it really is amazing, isn't it?
But anyway, at least Fidelity helps people find her music!
i think that fidelity and many other of her new songs, especially laughing with, are more like standard pop. since it's what most people hear, it's easier for them to like it. however, i'm glad i got past that faze, because her old and quirky stuff is so much better!
God, you hate fall out boy and apparently like regina. Actually I'll say love because you either love or hate regina, and this isn't one of her common songs. Anyway, i'm rambling, point is, I'm in love with you.
does anyone know where to get the mp3 of this song? i can't find it anywhere! also... if anyone is good at learning piano music by ear and wants to write up sheet music for this, it would be much appreciated!
Anyone have the notes??

My favorite Regina songs are Loveology and 8th floor, the ones haven't been recorded in a studio. I love it when it's JUST Regina and her piano.
TheHappiHolidayz 7 months ago
@TheHappiHolidayz I don't think I could choose favorites xP I might be able to pick a top ten though...
Loveology would definitely be on it :p

It gets me mad when people ONLY listen to Fidelity and not any other song, because that's her most popular one.
I personally think that's not even her best song.
Songs like Consequence of Sounds, Ne Me Quitte Pas, and especially this one should be heard too.

of course! songs from 11:11 and songs should defiantly be heard
her best work isn't her new cd far
